The size should fit an adult's head between small and medium. It will stay on better if the tie is tied around it. It seems like the mesh lining is either cotton or polyester blend, not satin. The jacket is waterproof, at least until a light downpour comes There's no telling how the top of the hat would hold up to a downpour.

Do you have any instructions on how to wash or iron? How much material is there in the book? It is written in only Korean, but there is no English translation. ?

There is no English text on the tag, just the words "Lattice Oxford fabric." After searching for that fabric on the internet, I found several waterproof items with that fabric. Since I would not want to lose the brim's durability, I will not wash it in the wash machine. I will hand wash it when needed instead. Ironing it would not be a good idea.

It's great that this rain hat keeps you dry

I bought this hat several months ago, but today marks the first time that it has rained. Since I wear glasses, a rain hat isn't going to protect them from getting wet. My dog and I walk together, so I don't want to carry an umbrella. A wide brim like this one works well in light rain without an umbrella. A day that is dull and dark can be made brighter with the color.

I received the hat at the promised time and it was exactly what Amazon described it as being. Since I haven't had rain recently, I can't comment on how well it holds up in wet weather. For a hat that can be folded and stored in the included pouch, I can say that it has a durable brim that should provide protection from the sun or rain. Despite the fact that the top part of the hat is crumpled from folding, you aren't wearing this hat for the sake of looking stylish.
