Although I am a 7 1/4, I purchased a 73/8.

Is wool lining used on the inside of the ear flaps? or a fleece blanket?

My Cotten hat is oiled. No wool or fleece is used to line the insides.

Is there a distinction between hats for men and women?

Women's hats are available from Stormy Kromer, but the sizing is the same for both men and women.

I started looking into it after seeing Ted Nugent wearing one while live on Facebook. I've been a hunter all my life, but I've never heard of this particular species. I took measurements of my head and ordered the exact size, which fits perfectly. The inside lining of this bag is thin, but it has a pillow-like feel to it. It's the most comfortable hat I've ever worn, and I'm thinking about getting a wool plaid in the near future. This isn't a marketing ploy; it's the real deal. Love it!.

The only reason I'm ordering new is because of this. I've ordered a number of Stormy Kromers in the past, and the quality has remained consistent. I only have to order new ones every now and then because the guy who wears them does so every day. If he could, he'd probably wear them to bed, which he obviously can't. And every now and then, you just need a new hat, especially if it's a summer weight one like this one that gets sweaty. Cleaning and keeping them waterproof isn't easy. He is completely devoted to his SKs. It's not uncommon to see 5-star hotels in upper Michigan on a nightly basis. Guys, you have 6 SK. now it's up to you, ladies - of every age group I'm not sure if it's now fashionable or simply practical. Although they've been around for a long time, they've become increasingly popular in recent years.

Unlike other Stormy Kromers, this one isn't as warm. The hat is fantastic. This hat isn't as warm as other Stormy Kromers, but that isn't the point. It performs admirably. I've become a big Stormy Kromer fan and own two of their hats, with plans to buy one or two more for various occasions.
