Previously, I had straw hats that were too floppy and made me feel like the scarecrow from The Wizard of Oz. A nice firm brim and a cute look make this a great hat. One of them is for the beach and the other to wear out for a causal occasion. There is nothing like a beach day. My measurements told me I needed a large (the size I offered). I bought the medium to see if I would like the fit better, and I did. It was slightly large, but since the hat has a string to tighten it, it fit fine. The exception would be if I were at the beach and wished to tuck my hair all into a In a medium, you might find the fit a little tight. It's so large I use it for the beach and so medium for the rest of the time. For shipping purposes, it is packaged in a plastic form to keep its shape, which makes it a great way to store it at home as well.

My honeymoon was a week long honeymoon, so I ordered this. The Pros This was a great deal for the price, and the quality was as expected. It's a great place to stay. ** CONS Wrapped in an Amazon bag, the package arrived- It reduces the number of boxes, but my hat arrived bent around the brim from shipping and handling because of it. Two days later, I tried a few different ways of flattening it (steaming/laying heavy books etc. ) but the brim was still slightly bent in some places. However, I had pictured the brim being a bit more sturdy and firm and it's rather floppier than I imagined it would be. The hat hole was too shallow- not a defect, just what happens when you buy online. Also, I measured my head (22") and bought a medium, it fit around my head fine- my complaint is that it was too small and not a defect. I could not get the opening to be as wide as I would have liked once I put it on my head. Instead, it sat high on my head, instead of having a larger The product was not really what I was looking for, but it might be worth a shot For things like hats, I tend not to shop online, and often opt to select brick and mortar stores. I prefer what I prefer, but that's just my personal taste.
