Traditionally, a bucket hat is worn by people with large heads. I measured 24 1/4", you measured 24". When I see someone wearing a baseball cap with straps on the first button, it always amazes me. The vast majority of department stores and even Amazon can be cumbersome when it comes to hat shopping. As it turns out, this is just what we need. My head measures around 24 1/4", which makes XXL a true fit. While not 100% accurate, I am fairly certain that the size is true to size. With 1/4 inch to 1/8 inch of room between bucket and my head, the bucket drops perfectly on my head. You have a nice hat there.

The fit is perfect. The fabric tape measure I used was to measure the circumference of my head. The size chart says I should be a size 25 because my hair is long and thick. I think that 5 is right on for a 2x. I appreciate the quality of the hat. It was a reasonable price I honestly thought I would have paid more for an The black and lime green reversible I got is great and my friend ordered it too after seeing me wearing it.
