Questions & Answers

The length of 38" from tip to end of buckle is how long is it?

We are going to measure that belt from leather end to leather end to get its 38 inch circumference. There will be an additional 2 1/2 inches of length added by the buckle. Therefore, it would be forty and a half inches long, if you include

The belt is wide, but how long is it?

I am wearing a belt that is exactly 1 1/2" wide. The same. I really like it. Whenever I carry a concealed weapon, I use this gun belt to hold my belt slide holster. The best belt I've ever owned.

This belt can be used with your own belt buckle, is that okay?

Easy to say, but not easy. It would be necessary for you to re-enter Create the belt in either one of two ways destroy or modify the old buckle (if your new buckle has a drop-in pin to attach it to the belt) or rip out the stitching and modify it accordingly. It's my own experience I have done both, but I would advise you to take on it only if you are confident in your ability to succeed. Wishing you best of luck in your endeavors.

Can you tell me if the belt is made of hard or semi-hard Do you want something semi hard?

Leather with a semi-hard surface

The quality of Carhartt scratchless belts continues to decline
3/5

I have owned multiple Carhartt scratchless belts over the years, and I have always found them to be high quality, comfortable, This belt is still not the same as the last one I bought. Last time I bought it, the belt lasted a couple of years without issue. But this time, it fell apart less than a week after I bought it. I wore the belt for a couple days and afterward found that the loop was too tight and was held together by two In the old version, the loop was held together by a stamped piece of metal, so it appears that this change was made for cheap cost-cutting. In the meantime, I recommend someone buy a belt with a better loop when Carhartt starts selling them again.

Shame on you

I was raised in the leather business by my father. My brother and I were allowed to work there every summer because he owned a factory that made cobbled shoes for nurses and nuns. This belt is not leather. I just got it today. Basically it's a slurry of leather particles molded with glue into a form that can be turned into a belt with the help of processing. Think particle board. Is it going to be I'm so happy! The company to which I bought the belt was not the one to mislead me. I would expect this from anyone else outside of the company. There is a value of $12 for this belt.

What is quality? The brown belt I was using every day had just been replaced with a pair of Carhartt ripstop cargo pants which I have been satisfied with In my due diligence, after reading many reviews and looking for something I enjoyed, I decided this belt was the one I preferred [ Carhartt Men's Regular Signature Casual, Jean Belt (Brown with Brass Finish), 34 ] based on the reviews and the description
3/5

It was important to me that the belt is made of Full Grain Leather, and not bonded leather or leather A full grain leather is of the highest quality. The full grain leather on this one is pretty heavy and stiff, which makes sense because it is a bridle Well, just got it last night and lo and behold, it does not say full grain anywhere on the belt or the tags attached to it. The leather is stamped Genuine, and is not Full Grain Leather, but this is a nice looking product! Then I looked at the description again this morning, and it didn't appear to be a misread. The black version of the exact same belt doesn't seem to say full grain, only that it's Aside from the sizing being wrong, this belt is also somewhat tight. I did order the next size up as recommended, but this belt can only reach the second hole when tightly pulled. As the description of this item is misleading, incorrect, and false advertising, I will certainly have to rethink my view of Carhartt. My return wouldn't be such a hassle if it weren't for the hassle of returning. The following update is made as of It turned out to be a mistake what I originally thought I was shocked to discover that it is even worse quality than I originally using it for just four days After just four days, you can already see signs of wear on the belt. In this case, I am not just referring to creases in the leather, but that the leather ( if it is even leather at all ) is peeling away from In the context of the belt I do not mean heavy use for four days or carrying anything from the belt. Since I mainly sit around at home, it's been worn around the house. It stands to reason that items like these would not be made and sold by a well known manufacturer who caters to the needs of the work force. In the mean time, I hope the Carhartt work pants I just bought are better made in the future. I'm bringing this back again! My carhartt belt is the same exact model I bought directly from them on 4/12/21. Here's a picture to illustrate what I mean. My top belt is from Carhartt, which I purchased directly from them. You can see the imprints clearly if you look closely A full grain leather label is at the top and a genuine leather label at the bottom. A genuine leather product is not the same as other leather products Leather is used to make it it is made from pieces of leather fused This is a firm, solid slab of leather that is full grain. It is indicated in the show more arrow at the bottom of the Amazon description that this item is 100% leather There is a full grain option as well. There is something wrong here and something confusing, so be aware of that. Those two items are exactly the same, by the way.

Belt is a great product, measurements are crazy
4/5

As it is, I have drilled many holes to make those fit. I have 2 older Carhartt men's journeyman belts that are 50 sizes [black and brown]
I had to return earlier ones of those because their 'my size' was way too big. Yes, I have lost some weight [yes] and while I used to wear pants at a 54 back then, I have now dropped to a 38. With a cloth tape, my actual size is 51, but I do have some pants that are a 50. Above is Carhartt's belt size, hole to buckle is the longest hole to end of the belt. Below is a sample of the new Measurement of the leather for May 2018. I kept the 46 from 50 to 54!
50 54 51
48 53 49 1/2
46 51 48

i kept the 46 from 50 to 54! The length of the sleigh would fit me, but I wish I were really down that far. The 48 is regarded by some reviews as being too small [short] what universe do they exist Apart from the measurements, these are great quality [as most carhartt stuff is. ] They are made of good leather and steel, and have lasted 8 years and are still in excellent condition. Not cheap, but are worth it per year.

A thick, tough substance
3/5

NEWS UPDATE There is nothing better than a belt like this. It's thick, powerful, and This is not the laminated and glued belt you typically find for less money. They don't seem to slow down. This is my second one. You will need to get your exact size as they will stretch. *UPDATE It's been six months since the last post. It is clear to me that the second one I ordered was bonded leather. You can clearly see on the inside of the belt the little pieces of leather that were chopped and formed and - now stretched really far - it actually looks almost like it just happened. I indicated above that I was not a fan. In the end, I guess you just have to use it some to tell. It's not possible for me at least. As of now, the belt is ridiculously soft and feels like it would give way easily. I read the reviews, and it's very easy to distinguish fake reviews from the real ones. There's almost a sense that they are paid for each review they write. Usually a five-star review has a subject of "Five Stars" and then a word or two review. It is a true fact that the description indicated that this was not full grain bridle leather. In contrast to what others have reported, mine has not fallen apart. Do you think the $30 is worth it? The hindsight tells us that probably isn't true. In fact, it is half of the cost of a high quality, full-featured desktop monitor This belt is true to grain and made in the I'll leave the decision to you.
