There is a lot of corrosion and they are extremely weak. No one is in my "good" range after testing them all. A low demand item such as a book will be powered up by some, but it won't last Apparently, what you pay for is what you get. You should not purchase from this distributor since their products are damaged or outdated (the package has no date on it). As a result, they are not eligible to return (who knew). A post office notice was sent to us that we had postage due, and an envelope was given to us The item was the envelope and batteries when we received it after paying. There was a lot of damage to the envelope. Despite being otherwise empty, the envelope had no identifying information. The fact that we had to pay for shipping with an item that promised free shipping seemed strange to me. I tried installing batteries but the toy barely functioned (but when I tried other batteries that I know are working well, the toy worked fine). It was obvious that the batteries were expired when I received them. My package did not have an expiration date, so I'm A lesson to be learned is Batteries that don't have an expiration date listed in their description should not be purchased.
