Questions & Answers

Is "shoe oil" essentially "shoe grease" in a viscous form?

Just to be clear, the oil is a LESS viscous version of the shoe grease. The term "viscosity" refers to the thickness of a substance. As a result, the oil has become a little more runny. As a result, the viscosity of the liquid is reduced.

What is the color of the product?

The color of the shoe oil is a light brown.

Will the boots become gleaming as a result of this?

It gives the leather a oiled appearance without making it gleam.

What is the best way to apply shoe oil?

I used a rag to do it. It's similar to putting a stain on a wall. Apply it with a dab and a rub.

Thank you from a member of the military
5/5

AMAZING. Because I'm in the military, I have to make sure that all of my service dress shoes are gleaming. I've been here for 14 years and have gone through six pairs of shoes because I couldn't find a product that met my expectations. I've tried a variety of shoe oils and greases, but none of them compare to Huberd's. I'm overjoyed, and I've told everyone in my unit about it. Thank you so much for creating such a fantastic product for those of us who care about our looks.

Maintain the softness and suppleness of your leather goods for years to come! This is the most effective shoe grease on the market
5/5

This is what I use on all of my leather. The oil has a different smell than the grease tin, but I like it. This stuff can soften even the most inexpensive leather. For the past ten years, I've had the same cheap (but comfortable and stylish) pair of knee-high leather boots that I've had to glue the sole back on. The leather has stayed nice and supple as a result, and I wear them frequently throughout the year. This stuff is applied to all of my vintage leather goods multiple times right away. My mother had a pair of high-end leather loafers that had been sitting in a box in her non-air-conditioned storage facility for the past decade. They were high-quality leather, but when we got them out, they were extremely dry and rough. She was about to throw them away because the soles had completely separated from the shoes, but I ordered a tin of this and some shoe glue, and they are now soft, supple, and completely wearable again. So don't toss it out and don't wait until it's dry and cracked to use it. Grab a tin of this and let your imagination run wild!.

Excellent product! Huberd's Shoe Oil is the subject of this review
5/5

Huberd's Shoe Oil is a leather oil that can be used on a variety of items. It helps to restore dried-out leather by keeping it soft and pliable. restores the natural state of the leather I decided to use Huberd's Shoe Oil on an old leather purse I have, and it went on very easily. I could tell the purse was shinier and newer after applying one heavy coat. The coat should be worn all night. As a result, I used an old t-shirt to rub one thick coat of Huberd's Shoe Oil on one side of my leather purse. t-shirt and set it aside for the night. br>br>The next day, I noticed some moisture on the leather, so I used the same cloth (an old t-shirt) to wipe it down. My old leather purse looked brand new again thanks to the extra Huberd's Shoe Oil that was completely saturated into the leather. The odor was strong enough that gloves were recommended, but the oil and odor were easily removed with warm soap and water. br>br>This is a product I would strongly recommend. I was given an 8 oz. (227. 3ml) bottle, and I estimate that it will last me at least 100 applications. I'm looking forward to using this oil on all of my shoes and leather jackets, and I'm confident Huberd's Shoe Oil will revive all of my handbags. This has the potential to save me a lot of money. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Suhila.

Option that is affordable
4/5

This was purchased for my red wings and, in my opinion, it performed admirably. I'll just jot down a quick list of what I did, how it went, and how much time passed between photos. The shine difference in the boots is from the factory, not the oil, oil doesn't shine too much, brushed clean with a horsehair brush before and after application, let sit and dry for two days, softened the leather a little but not a lot, one picture is side by side when I had oiled one boot but not the other, the other picture is roughly one month later and the leather has lightened back up from its initial color, I gave it four stars because I'm not sure how it'll hold up over time, but so far it's been satisfactory.

The method is effective
5/5

I had never heard of Huberd's before, but I was looking for ways to breathe new life into my 12-year-old Chippawwa boots, which had been neglected for so long that the leather had dried out and appeared brittle. Anyway, I used a stiff boot brush to remove mud from the boots, then liberally applied Huberd's oil and allowed it to soak in and dry (about 2 days). After that, I applied a second coat in the same manner as the first, and the leather was significantly restored and given new life. It did darken the leather, as expected, but it's still usable. While this worked well on my work boots, I would only use it on casual / dress shoes/boots if they were made of oiled leather or if I wanted to darken the leather's original finish. There are many leather restorer products on the market, and I have no way of knowing if this one is better, the same, or worse than the others, but it does the job.

Huberd's ointment for the soles of his shoes
5/5

One of the reasons I shop on Amazon is to read reviews, which is why I bought this product. Because I prefer the "oiled leather look" in shoes and boots, I was looking for a product to replicate it after my leather shoes and boots needed a refresh. I 100% like Huberd's shoe OIL very much. It's a THICK oil that takes a while to absorb after application. As suggested by another reviewer, I used a brush to apply it. It protects both the leather and the seams from water. If you're sensitive to strong odors, be aware that it has a "smoky" smell. In that case, it's best to apply it outside, as the smell will fade over time. The leather darkens after the oil is applied, so be aware that it WILL be darker after it dries, but not as dark as it was when you first applied it. Another person who used this oil on his leather jacket and car seats left a review. That is not a purpose for which I recommend the product. The jacket is most likely much heavier than it was before it was applied. It's also possible that the smell inside the car is too strong. Overall, it does exactly what it claims to do at a reasonable price, and it arrived in a timely manner; kudos all around for this product. br>To the reviewer who received the cream instead of the oil. When you shop on Amazon, you can return anything at any time. That has never been an issue for me. Another reason I shop on Amazon is because of the variety of products available.
