I had been using Kiwi's Parade Gloss for a while and was pleased with the results, but I decided to branch out and try some other shoe polishes in the hopes of improving the shine on my boots. br>br>I've tried a variety of store-brand polishes, Kiwi, and others, including Lincoln, and have found that Lincoln's shoe polish produces the best results. br>br>I noticed that I was spending less time polishing my boots to a reflective sheen, and my weekly maintenance routine now takes no more than 15 minutes to restore the shine of the toe box and heel while adding a little shine to the rest of the boot. Instead of using heat guns or any of the other methods suggested by others, I used a simple cloth towel, water, and polish (spit shine). br>br>Another thing I liked about it was how it smelled. Other brands had a strong odor, but this one didn't. br>br>These shoe polishes are reasonably priced and worth a try if you're looking for a new look.
If you want to go the extra mile, apply a second coat with a slightly damp smooth cotton rag for a sparkling spit shine. Apply a thin layer of acrylic floor wax to make your footwear shine like a mirror. Since 1974, I've been polishing shoes. Lincoln is one of the best. Any NCO, and any senior executive in corporate life, will judge you by your footgear, correct?.
This polish shines brighter and lasts longer than Kiwi. I first learned about Lincoln polish while having my shoes shined at a shoe shine stand; up until he started buffing this polish, I thought he was doing a terrible job. By the time he was done, my shoes looked better than they did when they were new. This shine lasted much longer than Kiwi wax, was scuff-resistant, and didn't flake off in the creases. I ordered a can of this polish right away and have already used it several times with excellent results. I wish I had known about this when I was in the military because it would have saved me a lot of time.
This brand's stain wax polish is one of my favorites because it dries quickly and has a good amount of pigment that adheres well to the surface. I bought multiple colors for my projects (I don't use it as a shoe polish!) because the surface can easily be buffed to a vibrant shine. But black isn't truly black, in my opinion. It's a dark, deep blue color. Also, tan turns out to be completely orange, which I didn't expect! It's a nice shade of midnight green. However, it was not as heavy as I had anticipated. I mixed midnight green with ‘black’ and got a nice result. However, if you want a 100% black pigmented shoe polish this is not it. I gave it five stars because of the high quality, the amount of pigment it holds, and how quickly it dries. Thanks!.
br>br>Now that I'm no longer in the military, my shoes don't need to be polished, but old habits die hard, and I still like my shoes to "shine. " So, after reading some of the Lincoln reviews, I decided to give it a shot. It was a pleasant surprise for me. br>br>While Kiwi is still the best for mirror shine, Lincoln is far superior to Kiwi and my expectations for everyday "brush shine. " Lincoln is softer (not chunky), smoother, goes on faster, easier, and more consistently, and produces a better "brush shine. "br>br>I'm pretty sure I'll be using Lincoln for the foreseeable future. But I've kept my Kiwi in case the need for a mirror shine arises.
I've tried Kiwi before and didn't care for it because of the smell, and no matter how hard I tried, it didn't give me the shine I wanted. After conducting extensive research on shoe polishing, I became interested in this product. It's inexpensive, doesn't smell as bad as Kiwi, polishes smoothly, and is simple to shine! I'd recommend it to friends, family, or anyone interested in polishing shoes or boots.
I also used a brand called Woly, which I adore; it doesn't have the same deep gloss as Kiwi, but it's still fantastic. br>br>The Lincoln polish is excellent; it applies thickly and buffs off easily once dry. This stuff has a fantastic shine to it. It's very glossy and dark, which is exactly what I wanted. I'm pretty sure I'm going to stick with this for the rest of my life!.
Simply the best polish available, and it's incredibly simple to use. Pigment concentrations are extremely high. I use it on my most expensive shoes because it shines so well. I'm not going to buy any more nail polishes. I'm not concerned about high levels of alcohol damaging or drying out the leather. It's a little pricey in comparison to the others, but the value is incredible. Also, because the can lid does not always fit perfectly, you might want to keep it in a ziplock bag to prevent it from drying out too quickly.
