When I first ordered this, I was a little concerned because I wasn't sure if it would cover the scrapes on the toes of my black everyday shoes. Small gouges in the faux leather on each toe show the lighter underside material. I was tempted to throw the shoes out and buy new ones because they appeared to be quite worn, but since I wear a double-denim outfit, I decided against it. It's extremely difficult to find new shoes that fit me because I'm so wide. And these are by far the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn- They're also pretty stylish. As a result, throwing them away was out of the question. br>br>I looked at all of the shoe polishing products on Amazon, but there are so many different types that I didn't know what I needed. Finally, I ordered a bottle of this "scuff cover," hoping that it would darken the gouges enough to allow me to wear the shoes again. It did a fantastic job, much to my surprise! And, contrary to my expectations, it did not wear off quickly. The gouges are still there, but thanks to this product, they're completely invisible several weeks later. br>br>The only thing I didn't like about it was that you're supposed to rinse the applicator sponge after use, which filled my sink with black fluid. I was terrified the marble would be stained! To my relief, all of the black stuff washed away without leaving any traces, but it was still a bit of a scare. I'm not sure if it will stain other types of sinks, such as fiberglass or porcelain, so if that's a concern, you should raise the applicator outside rather than in the sink. Also, I'm pretty sure this stuff will stain clothing, washrags, and other items if you spill it. br>br>Four stars and recommended to anyone who needs to cover up scratches, dings, scuffs, or gouges in their black shoes. Simply turn the bottle upside down and sponge the shoes until the applicator turns black, then apply to the areas that require protection. Allow the shoes to dry completely before rinsing the applicator sponge. (As previously mentioned, I'm being cautious. ).
I just got it and tried to use it, but the sponge was completely dried out. The see- Although the liquid is visible through the top container, the sponge is completely dry no matter how hard I press down. There were no special instructions to activate the liquid in the clear container on top, which I assumed there would be. It's only the liquid that's inside. I've requested a replacement from Amazon, and I'm hoping it will work. Are these old products or ones that haven't been thoroughly tested for quality?.
" I used to break out shoe polish tins, apply the polish with a rag, let it dry while I washed my hands, and then buff the shoes to a nice shine. Now that I work from home, I don't wear "dress" leather shoes nearly as much as I used to. The Kiwi Instant Shine is exactly what it says on the tin. a quick and easy way to clean the dust from your shoes, apply a decent shine, and get out the door My shoes look fantastic, and they only took about 60 seconds to complete!.
I have a pair of black Calvin Klein men's dress shoes with a few visible scuff marks on both of them. br>As a result, I bought this item to assist me. It arrived today, and I tried it on the shoes, but it aggravated the problem. Scuff marks are now much more noticeable. This item is not something I would recommend. I've been a fan of Kiwi shoes for a long time, but this is the first time I've been disappointed. I'll have to go out and buy a shoe cleaner and some new shoe polish now.
I believe they are k n 0 c k - 0 f f s from the original because there isn't much oil in these and getting anything out to polish with is difficult. I usually buy these at my local Walmart because I know how they should look and how much oil should be in the little window, but they were out, so I ordered them online. Color is also spelled with a U, so I'm not sure, but it's not worth the money! Be wary of the buyer!.
I'd been using an old container of Kiwi solid shoe polish for a long time, but the contents had broken up into pieces, and I was fed up with dealing with it, so I ordered Kiwi liquid Scuff Cover. It's amazing how much of a difference it makes. While they don't give you as much in the bottle as they used to, I recommend it because it covers the scuffs, dries to a shine, and lasts a long time. It's quite enjoyable.
I usually polish my boots with Kiwi or Lincoln and then finish them off with this sponge, which really brings out the shine, cleans them up nicely, and makes them look nice and pretty for any inspections, and I would highly recommend it! Along with some pantyhose, this is an excellent tool to have in your boot shining kit.
It is simple to use. no drips. I started with a magic marker on the exposed white part of the heel, then added the product, and it worked like a charm!.
