This isn't the intended use of the device. Though it may darken slightly, you'll need to order shoe or leather dye.
This show cream has been purchased twice by me: once for my booties, and once for my hands. My car's leather seats will have to wait until another time. It's a fantastic product; all you have to do is rub it in with a soft cloth.
It's a rich cream leather polish, not a tan. On canvas shoes, use liquid shoe polish like the kind sold at Walmart! My canvas shoes are washed and the white liquid is used on white canvas shoes. Choose a color that complements your footwear.

This was bought to help restore the color of my work shoes that had faded. I chose the color that appeared to be the closest match, but it was far too light when it arrived. When I tried to exchange it for a more suitable color, I was told that it was not returnable or refundable. I would not recommend purchasing this product unless you are certain the color is a perfect match; otherwise, it is best to buy a show polish where you can see the color first and return it if necessary. br>br>Also, the return policy is not listed on the product page, which is misleading because most incredible purchases are returnable. br>br>Overall, I'm disappointed that I wasted money and will not purchase again to avoid the risk of a color mismatch.
UPDATE: See the final image. Almost immediately after my first wear, the beautiful red wax on my shoes began to flake off. I'd say I followed the instructions, but there weren't any (neither on the packaging nor in the insert). How to use a shoe cream was something I had to look up on the internet. FFS. I cleaned the leather before applying it and allowed it to dry completely, but it still didn't stick to it. Ugh. br>br>I was wearing a pair of red leather Fly Londons on my patio while the newly applied weather-proofing was drying. the proofing spray had dried I didn't think about them again until I went outside to water the plants about 5 days later. br>br>The leather was brittle, and the red dye had faded significantly after days in the Texas sun. I was irritated to the point of indignation. br>br>I didn't want to throw them away, so I looked online for a way to fix them and came across this product, which had an almost unbelievable selection of reds at an unbelievable price. I chose their Red 68 and placed my order, crossing my fingers. The cream is highly pigmented but not opaque enough to clash with a slightly different shade of red leather. br>br>It was perfect. br>br> It took three coats of the cream to bring them back because the leather was so brittle from the sun and the two heavy coats of weather proofing I had sprayed on, but I am thrilled with the results. I can not attest to its durability, but I used less than 5% of the product, so I won not have to make an additional purchase to keep them in good condition. br>br>My only gripe is that there are no instructions for applying the cream [do you prep the leather? What is the recommended number of layers? How are you going to use it? ], and their website is a complete waste of time. I'm more knowledgeable about waxes and dyes, so some basic instructions, or at the very least a link, would have been helpful. Having said that, the product has thus far exceeded my expectations. It's given my shoes a new lease on life. Both color and conditioning are important. br>br>PS: To clean my shoes, I used a shoe polish brush and lightly buff them. I used a round cotton pad and a q-tip to apply the cream. For those in a pinch, here's a suggestion. I let it air dry for about 20 minutes before buffing it with the same shoe brush and repeating the process until I was happy with the results.
br>br>For starters, the Navy color is a DARK Navy, which is exactly what I needed to match my Michael Kors "Admiral" purse. It's a dark blue color. I used it on my lighter Navy shoes, and it darkened them to match the purse! This has such a high color density that you can use it to dye leathers in a variety of colors. I even tried it on black boots, and while they're still black, they've taken on a slightly bluish sheen that will help them match my purse. After that, I tried it on with a pair of medium blue suede walking shoes. It also gave them a navy hue. Not only did the suede turn a darker blue tinted grey, but so did the grey soles. THIS IS AMAZING! br>br>I applied the color with a shoe polish brush, which allows for a very even application. If you just use a cotton cloth, I believe you'll end up with streaks instead of complete even coverage. I'm in love with this polish, and I've tried quite a few! br>br>I buffed the shoes while they were still damp, and they came out looking fairly shiny. It has a satin finish rather than a glossy one. I'll waterproof them with leather oil once they've dried completely. This is going to be my new go-to brand. to polish your shoes! br>br>Make sure the polish you buy is the color you want, because if your shoes aren't an exact match, they'll be that color. I've only tried the Navy so far. I hope this information is useful.
As an ex-con, I am a huge fan of this product. Marines who have made the transition from military service to civilian life Working in the public eye necessitates that I maintain a professional demeanor at all times. My shoes are the starting point. For the past 40 years, I've used Kiwi shoe polish. I've bought a variety of creams in the past, but I always come back to two Kiwi products. I noticed over the last few years that the Kiwi products weren't giving me the same results as the use 2, so I switched to their liquid products, which were initially great, but after a year of use, I noticed flaking on my shoes due to the build-up. The liquid polish has been built up. Then I remembered my success with shoe creams, and I decided to try something new. This item was purchased. So far, it's been a great experience. This is a product that I will continue to use!.
I also bought this cream in dark green and white for my doc martens, and it worked fine on those as well. The product, in my opinion, works best on porous leather, such as the ones in my photo. I believe the 1460 docs are a tad too slick to make a significant difference, but they did help with scuffs and discoloration. Aside from that, if you have any leather shoes, you should definitely get this!.
