Questions & Answers

Are pronghorns benefited by this?

A pronghorn can be killed by this method.

While this isn't a polish, does it leave the leather feeling shinier than Kiwi No-Buff Express Shine? I have seen pictures of leather that appeared to have this extra shine to it. ?

In no way is it a polish, but it does help protect and enhance the suppleness of the leather and keep it from becoming dry and rigid. Most likely, the extra shine was caused by the freshness of the product. Keep in mind that leather that is light colored will darken when exposed to this substance.

Are brown boots able to be dressed in the clear boot dressing?

My brown boots worked well with it

Is this meant to be worn with Danner Wenatchee boots?

Unfortunately, I'm not sure but what I use in my Danner Bull Run moc boots works really well. I hope that helps.

Put this boot dressing on your Danners to keep them in top condition
5/5

A very nice product! I purchased Danner Arcadia 8" boots for work in the law enforcement field. Besides providing a quick shine, I sought a product that would extend the life of my boots. This boot dressing ticked both of those boxes! As I worked the coating into the leather of the boot in small circular motions, I applied a thick layer. To remove any excess dressing from the boot, I took a dry rag and wiped off the leather after I was finished covering it. I was very pleased with the finished product! A good shine was given to the boot and the leather was conditioned. Despite the fact that I do not expect the shine to last too long, I will apply a new coat every couple of weeks. Although shipping took longer than I anticipated (although I was warned that it would take an extra day for processing) but I am glad I waited. The container was filled with a large quantity of product, so I expect it to last a while. It should be noted that this is a paste. This was delivered when the temperature outside was 100° F. I kept the product in my mailbox for a long time, and it became liquid. It took about an hour for it to return to paste form when placed in the fridge. The reason I say this is because I would hate for someone to spill the product when they open it for the first time.
I've attached a picture so you can see what my boots looked like before and after. This is an excellent product at a very reasonable price.

Light leather is darkened by water proofing but scratches and scruffs are repaired
4/5

In this color, I purchased this to go with my Danner Mountain Light Cascades in vegetable tan. The product does a good job of covering up light scratches and scruffs, especially at the shoe's toe. There is a good amount of liquid in the jar and it is likely to last forever. A little goes a long way, and all that is needed is a dab to cover the I haven't had to wait long to get it waterproof since it seems to work almost instantly. thing about it that might be disappointing is that it darkens the leather just a little bit, but not as much as other "clear" polishes that penetrate deeply. Here is a photo of the first application of the boot dressing on a new pair of Danner's without any other waterproofing On the left, the boot is the original color of the natural leather, you can see the darkening quite a bit in the side-by-side photo, as well as in the picture of the shoe half-way through.

The best way to care for your boots is to treat them in this way - Portland is still Portland, even if it doesn't fit this description
5/5

The best way to care for your boots is to treat them in this way - Definitely a favorite pair of Danners, even if they aren't Portland Oregon's finest Danner boots (but you would SO love In fact, I began using it over 30 years ago after my father told me to only use "Danner Boot Grease" to care for my hiking boots. Other leather dressings I have tried have not lived up to this one, but this one is my gold standard. It is my go-to product for my Danners (next resole), and it looks almost new after decades of service. I also use it for shining up all my leather boots, jackets, and shoes. A beautiful shine is left behind as well as the leather stays in top condition because it never becomes tacky or sticky. Get yourself a pair of Danners and try out this "boot grease. " The tip will come as a big relief to you as my old man gave it to me.

It is best to use a paste conditioner that does not darken the leather too much
4/5

used the Danner Boot Dressing only once on a pair of smooth leather Timberland Pro boots. I applied the dressing with a cotton shirt that was clean and used a cleaner (older) shirt to apply it. The dressing is more or less odorless and is the consistency of Vaseline. A polishing takes a lot more time to work in, but it's not nearly as time-consuming as a polishing. Dressing seems to be effective - a little bit goes a long way On a tall boot, you should be able to apply around 10 to 12 drops from a 4 oz jar. An old rag and some clean water proved to be a simple solution to remove the excess dressing. Although the leather on my Timberlands is still somewhat lighter, I could sense a slight darkening on the surface (like a shade or two, not quite As a result, the leather was more supple, and it had just a little bit of a The leather will be no longer tacky or sticky if you wipe the excess product off after application and let the product dry overnight. Breaking in a new pair of shoes with a product like this seems like a great idea. In order to maintain leather, I prefer using Bucmore Bic 4, as it's easier to apply, cleaner, and better absorbed into the leather than GatorGear. Even so, in terms of paste conditioners, I am impressed with Danners Leather Dressing (the clear variety not sure about the colored versions). It is planned for me to apply two coats to each new pair of boots in order to break.

It's nice to have my old boots come back to life
5/5

The thing is, I'm an odd sort but when I find something I like, I tend to really stick with it. It was years ago when I discovered Timberland's 12135 boot fit me like none other. In the past, I wore them for a few years, and then put them aside because the leather looked so terrible after a few years. This item has been around wear for a couple of It would just be another pair I would buy. After I discovered I had accumulated a collection of seven pairs, including those I wore at a recent head count, I made an effort to purge them. In spite of the dried leather, caked drywall compound, pait spatters, etc. , there were no obvious problems with the frames. I decided either to throw them away, donate them, or save them. According to the reviews, I ordered this product along with the application tool and within a couple of days they were in my hands My first step was to clean these boots which were covered with drywall compound, paint splatters, and dirt. I used a brass wire wheel in a dye grinder, a screwdriver, and a hand held SS wire brush before applying this boot dressing. As if it were a sponge, the old leather soaked it up. As soon as I removed the dry wall dust with a heat gun (it was cold out and I was working outside my shop due to the What a transformation! I couldn't believe what I saw. In addition to being more flexible and supple, the leather also looks fantastic. There is not one thing I would change about these boots. I plan on giving the boots another try in a month or two just because I want to. Thank you Danner! I will not be buying new boots for a very long time!.
