Shoes are something I'm interested in. It's a bad habit I shouldn't have started in the first place, to be honest. I purchased the clean kicks wipes and began by cleaning 13 pairs of shoes. All of them came out beautifully. Except for the peanut Van's, which are limited edition. I included them in the photo to demonstrate that the cleaner did not leave a mark. br>Based on what I've cleaned so far, it cleans rubber soles, plastic, leather, netting, and vinyl to a high standard. The soles of the Van are spotless, but these wipes are ineffective on cloth. br>Does this mean they're any less useful to me? There is no way. When I need to clean my cloth shoes, I can use Clorox, but having a quick cleaner on hand is fantastic. br>After cleaning my first pair, I discovered that adding about 5 drops of water to a wipe and rubbing it in until it suds up was a good way to go. Then wipe away any cleaner or residue with a damp cloth. br>I had to use a toothbrush on some of the soles to get them clean, but these wipes really do work. It's an excellent product, and I'll be purchasing more because I have another 120 pairs to clean. If you prefer your shoes to be clean. If you're a collector like me, or simply like to look good when you leave the house, this is the product for you. These are some ideas to try.
I had a pair of suede loafers that were in desperate need of cleaning. I usually clean them with Boot Rescue wipes, but I chose this brand because it was less expensive. When I used them, they seemed to leave white link all over my shoes, which is annoying but not a major issue because I can just clean them when I'm done, but the main issue is that whatever cleaner was in them was too strong (despite the fact that it was used in the description) and completely stripped the color out of my shoes. I tried to revive them with a nap brush, but they now just look dingy and old. That's what I get for trying to save a few dollars by wearing $150 shoes. These are the ones I use on my golf shoes. The wipes have a tacky texture and are effective at removing grass and dirt stains. One of the pairs I had was white and four years old. I was about to throw them away because the creases were filthy. I attempted to clean them with liquid soap but was unsuccessful. CleanKicks is an excellent product. I also clean the loosened stains that release with the Cleankicks with a wet towel rag. Several comments about my "new golf shoes" were enough to convince me. I've tried it on my wife's and my running shoes, and it works great.
I put the product to the test on a new pair of white sneakers that had some light stains on them. I had tripped and sideswiped the sidewalk with the side of my shoe while out walking. I was hopeful that this product would work, so I followed the directions to the letter, rubbing the abrasive wipe against the shoe for a long time; it foamed up, but after wiping the foam away with clear water, the shoe looked exactly as it had before I started the cleaning process. Simply put, I put in a lot of effort and spent some money, and that was the end of it. Because the seller guarantees customer satisfaction, I've packed up the item and returned it to Amazon. Maybe it was just me or my technique, but it didn't turn out the way it was supposed to.
I guess I bought these to save myself the trouble of having to wet a towel to clean my shoes. The quantity of wipes provided for the price paid appears to be inadequate. When these are gone, there is always a wet towel. br>br>There appears to be some grit in the wipes, which I assume will aid in the removal of dirt; my white shoes, with the exception of the textured part near the bottom, came very clean. Even though the shoes were brand new, no amount of rubbing could get it back to white. After removing the dust from work, the black shoes looked fantastic. Brown shoes were not particularly unsightly to begin with, but any dirt had been removed. I was able to clean two pairs of shoes with a single wipe, and I could have probably gone on if I had been motivated. Overall, I believe I could have achieved similar results using water and a towel. But there's always next time.
They have an abrasive quality to them, which I like because it aids in the removal of dirt from my sneakers. This isn't for major stains; you'll need something more serious for that; however, for daily cleaning after wearing your shoes out, these work great. I have a few shoe cleaners (some really good kits), but they're a bit pricey, so this is a great and easy way to keep them clean in between deep cleanings. Also, when using these wipes to clean your shoes, make sure to use a clean paper towel, towel, or napkin because they do leave residue that needs to be wiped away. Regardless, I have about 20ish pairs of shoes, and these wipes keep them all spotless, and cleaning a pair with these wipes takes less than 5 minutes.
Not so much in terms of the container. I couldn't find shoe wipes in any of the local shoe stores, so the price was acceptable because I desperately needed them. I've used them on both leather and synthetic boots, and they've both performed admirably. Based on some of the other reviews, I'm not going to try them on suede at all. My issue with these wipes is that the container itself is ineffective and a pain in the neck to use. You should be able to pull the wipe up through a hole in the inside of the container - There are four rigid tabs in the hole - It's not going to fit through that tabbed hole. Every time you need a wipe, you'll have to pry off the tight-fitting lid - it's not practical - A functional redesign is required. BUT, because I still need wipes, I might repurchase when I run out!.
