For the earrings section, I searched high and low for a cabinet that wasn't enormous like most, had a lock, and had a large shelf for earrings, since most smaller cabinets lack enough space for them. I like the way it looks and it seems pretty functional, my only complaint is that it attaches to the wall using screws and hooks on its external surface. So, even if the jewelry box is locked, it can just be lifted off the wall by a thief. While I do not have anything super expensive, I do think they should have some sort of way to attach the box to the wall that works from within so that it can be opened - I don't really care. As a result, the item would be theft-proof.

I just need the right size to fit into the area I need it for. I am pleased with how it turned out. It's just the right size for the area I planned to put it in. A unit that efficiently stores all my jewelry while leaving a little room for extra. As I'd been concerned about not being able to use this part (I do not have rings), I was pleased to find that the area next to rings also has stud earrings. There wasn't room to store any earrings with their backs on, but I simply put all the earring backs on one of the vertical shelf, and I could always grab a pair whenever I needed them. Having more backs than earrings worked out fine for me. In fact, it's even more convenient if you have more earrings than backs. It may be worth considering the larger version for women who collect a lot of jewelry.
