We ordered a small for our five-year-old and a medium for our nine-year-old, but the small was so big that it fit the nine-year-old.

My son wears a 14/16 and the XL fits him well, but there is no room for growth. If you require a size 20 or larger, I would recommend ordering a larger size.

I'm so glad I got the right size for my son; after reading all of the reviews on here, I was hesitant to buy the jacket because I wasn't sure what size to get; for your reference, my son wears a size 7 shirt and a size small boy jacket, and he weighs 50 pounds and stands 46 inches tall. I got him a size Xs and it fits him perfectly, with plenty of room for growth. The jacket's tag stated that Xs is for children aged 5 and up. Although it appears to be 6, it is actually a 7. 8, The jacket's quality is also very good, and the green color is hunter green, which is the exact green color I was looking for; on the website, it said green, and I almost didn't buy it because I didn't know what color green it was; the color outside is a little lighter than in the picture, but overall, it's a very nice jacket, and I'm pleased with my purchase!.
My 11-year-old son and 13-year-old daughter each received a large. They are of average height and weight (perhaps a tad on the thin side), and the jacket is a perfect fit for them. My 7-year-old son is wearing a small, which fits well and has room to grow. I hope this has been of some assistance.
I was pleasantly surprised by how well-made and durable this jacket is, especially given its low price. Over the last few months, it's been worn several times a week and washed multiple times (at least 10)* and shows no signs of wear. We use it as a fall/winter/spring jacket in SE coastal North Carolina, and it keeps him toasty warm. When the temperature drops into the 30s, I make my son put on a heavier coat, but it's mostly for my own peace of mind because he claims it's not too cold (middle schoolers, amiright?). When my other two sons outgrow their current jackets, I'll definitely buy more for them. br>br>*I wash all of my fleece in cold water and then air dry it to avoid it becoming clumpy.
This was an excellent match for my child! The material is very soft and comfortable, and the color is just right for the uniform as a "school color. " I was concerned that it would shrink because it fit so well. So I gave it a good wash in cold water, smoothed out the wrinkles, and hung it to dry. Even so, it shrank. It wasn't much, but it was enough to make me not want to send my child to school in it. But he likes it so much that I let him wear it around the house and in the yard.
For work, I needed a solid black jacket with no branding on it because I am a very petite woman. My height and weight are 4'10" and 120 pounds, respectively. I went with the XL size. The sleeves are the perfect length, and the sleeves and jacket itself are roomy but not excessively so. I like how warm the fleece is and how big the pockets are; I'm pleased.

I bought a size 16 for my 12 year old, who is 5'2 and 95 pounds, and the sleeves were over 2 inches too short. The chest fit well and was long enough, but the sleeves were too short. My 9-year-old also couldn't wear the sleeves because they were too short.
This is a well-made jacket with a nice look to it. This was exactly what I needed: a plain, solid navy jacket that could be embroidered for my son's uniform. To be honest, I assumed it couldn't be that good due to the low price. It is, however, true. I'm very happy with this jacket and the price, and I'll order another one when he needs a larger size.
