When we first received these pants, I thought they were stiff. However, after several washes, they became noticeably softer. For 7 months, my son wore them to school about once a week. While that may not seem like much, he came home looking like he'd been digging ditches or repairing cars for the majority of those days. As a result, before doing a lot of laundry, I had to scrub the knees with a brush. Keeping this in mind, they've performed admirably. I'd buy this brand again in a heartbeat. They're just right.
These are NOT the pants for your child if he is tall and thin! Good quality, good length, but when the adjustable waist was used, they looked like balloon pants. When my son refused to wear them, I had no choice but to return them.
