The small is the size I recommend. After that, your child will be able to use it for several years.
Medium
I bought a kids medium and it was perfect for my 8-year-old granddaughter.
My eight-year-old, who stands 5'1" tall and weighs 84 pounds, wears a size large. He has a little more room to grow in it, but it is almost perfect for him.

This was her favorite Christmas present this year. It looks and feels exactly like a professional chef's cooking shirt, and I would recommend it to anyone with a small child.
My son enjoys cooking, so this is something he can wear while assisting me in the kitchen. My son is three and wears a size five shirt; I ordered an XS and it's a little big on him. He'll be able to grow into it for a while. However, the jacket is of good quality.
My son enjoys putting this on whenever he assists in the kitchen. I like the long sleeves because they protect his arms from splatters and other spills that may occur while cooking.
Of course, that meant a high-quality chef's coat, and I was thrilled to discover this one for him. It's a tad big on him, but we live in New England, so that just means he can layer it with a sweatshirt underneath.
Ideal for a budding businessperson! Sammy's Nola is made by my grandson, and the jacket gives him a professional appearance and boosts his confidence. I wouldn't be surprised if he went to a Culinary School because he enjoys cooking and creating food.
This product was genuine and of excellent quality, and I fit perfectly. I used it for Halloween, but I expect he'll use it a lot more when we make pizza at home.
The fabric is appealing to the eye and to the touch. This miniature chef's coat is very realistic in appearance.
