The ends were painted white (equal length) after we cut a few inches from it. Wood is bare wood when it is cut, so the shelf is bare.
If you want a nice clean straight cut, a heavy duty saw blade is definitely the best option

Those pictures are hung on the wall at a fixed height and in a fixed position. Having to drill new holes in the walls for the screws if you need to move them is a hassle.

I found it to be of excellent quality and just what I needed. Adding a shelf above my washer and dryer to house laundry gear was on my to-do list. A smaller space would be perfect for this piece of furniture because of its width and length.
The second closet I converted for my daughter was recently finished. There is a small walk from here to there As far as the universe is concerned. An actual closet system isn't possible due to the small space. I found this to be a reasonable way to create a useable closet space without having to spend a lot purchased the shelves at Home Depot, but our store did not have these hardware hang rods. 2) I find it to be very attractive.
It has been my pleasure to order this product three times over the past year. Once you opened the boxes, you found that all three shelves were damaged. You can keep one shelf since the dents and scratches will not be visible however, the other two shelves have dents and scratches at It's getting more and more difficult to replace items.
I'm looking forward to seeing this shelf when it's finally in place. That was a tough one to hang, by the way. Screws aren't supposed to be bigger than the part of the hole that extends above the surface. There is a solid and hollow point on the shelf, as shown in the instructions. It would have been better to use a better quality wood for the solid points in the wooden edges where the screws hit. I cost me about $8 to hang this out. Getting it up was a bit of a challenge.
The adjustable closet rod and the add-on closet rod brackets I got were both great purchases for me. This is a very good product! I definitely recommend it!.
It's a decent product but you'll have to go to the big box for the screws. To be effective, they need to be driven into the studs and the cheap screws heads need to break off. This product should not be purchased.
I bought two of these to hang by the laundry room sink to hold detergents and other things. The screws they give you are cheap, so I had to buy better ones. Hanging them was a pain, they give you cheap screws. They look nice, but because the slats are so thin and flimsy, I am not sure how long they will last. They weren't worth the $52 each I spent, maybe $30-$50 would have been more appropriate. The maximum number of characters is 40. In any case, they are quite.
Trimmed the end that goes against the wall a little so it fits nicely below a cabinet and lines up nicely with it. This seems to be a sturdy enough option for our needs.
