I'm 138 pounds, 34DD in VS bras, 5'0 inches tall, and wear a Medium. This corset was fantastic; you can't go wrong with it. I needed support and something that fit my midsection as well because I have a flat stomach, small midsection, and a very heavy, busty top. After reading reviews, I decided on an XXL, which worked out perfectly. I just couldn't get my midsection to tighten any more, so I let it go. If they had XL, I'm sure it would fit as well. The string is a little shaky as well. BUT, REGARDLESS, I LOVED IT.

I only had two days, so I was worried it wouldn't arrive on time, but it did! The fit was snug, and I liked that I could put it on with a little assistance. The front clasps took a little longer than I anticipated, but you couldn't tell I wasn't cute once I put it on;.

So it's not so bad if you've never worn a corset before! It's very comfortable and doesn't dig or rub in any way. As a historical costumer who has made several pairs of stays, I can honestly say that this is the WORST fit I've ever had. A good structured shapewear piece should be comfortable and shapeshift your body into the ideal shape of the time period. I like 18th-century conical stays because they're narrow at the waist, which is the squishiest part of the body, and wide at the bust, which pushes everything up and makes even the tiniest breasts look large and lifted. This corset, on the other hand, does nothing for my bust (it looks about as flat as when I'm not wearing a bra) and squeezes my rib cage, which isn't a squishy part of the body. The waist, on the other hand, is completely undefined. It will suffice as an underlayer for a professional theatre costume that requires some structural support, and it will do so without causing undue discomfort; however, don't expect it to do your body any favors, promote good posture, or fit in any meaningful way. And, for the love of God, DO NOT TIGHTLACE in this corset; it will be dangerous!.

Based on some of the reviews, I ordered it in a size larger. Don't go overboard with the size of your order. I literally don't have enough space to tighten it without it overlapping. It is, however, absolutely stunning. Buying a smaller size and a variety of colors is definitely a good idea.

If you need something by a specific date, don't order. I placed an order for one that was in stock, ready to ship, and offered Prime two-day delivery. Nonetheless, I placed an order to ensure that it would arrive before the deadline. There will be no such luck. It wasn't until 11 p. m. on the scheduled delivery date that it was announced that it was running late, that it hadn't shipped yet, and that they had no idea when it would be able to ship. I was never even notified that it was on its way to me, so I awoke today to find it had been delivered at random. I attempted to cancel the order because my event had already passed and I didn't require it any longer. I should have been able to do so because it hadn't shipped yet. However, I was unable to do so because they were "preparing it for shipment" for approximately five days. As a result, I'm now faced with the task of returning it. I bought this one specifically because of when it was supposed to arrive to me, and it was a complete waste of my time. br>br>In terms of quality, the panty that comes with it looks like it was cut out of cardboard, and the g string triangle is thick and stiff. The corset itself appears to be of good quality, but I'm not going to bother with it for the time being. On each side of the clasps are two steel bonings. If you tried to do it yourself, I'm guessing the plastic ones in that area would break. The remainder is made of plastic, which I was aware of prior to placing my order. The back lace/tie-up looks and feels like cheap dollar store ribbon, almost like the kind used to tie balloons. I did open it up to see if it would fit around my body, and I realized that I would have to open up the lace up back quite a bit to get it to fit. I'm a US size 20 and ordered the 6x because the lace up exposes the majority of my back.

I was surprised it fit because I ordered it based on the measurements of another corset that was far too large. I attempted to cancel the order and intended to place an order for a smaller size, but I'm glad I was unable to do so. It could be a little tighter at the bottom, but it fits perfectly otherwise. br>The color is true to the picture. (The photo I took does not accurately depict the color. ) So silky and lustrous!.

Let's start with the advantages. The color is a light bubblegum pink, which I like. The content is adequate- I am 5'6", 140 lbs, and have a 27" waist, so I ordered a medium, which is a little too big if you want to really cinch it and get the waist definition. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product. The thong that came with it was filthy, as if it had been on a dusty floor. It was also incredibly poorly constructed. With that said, I didn't expect it to come with a thong, so it's come and gone. br>br>The other disadvantage is that a piece of the boning has already broken free from its casing. br>br>I think this is appropriate for a costume or other outfit that will be worn only once in a while.

Order a much larger size than you normally would. I bought the purple corset to go with my Ariel costume, and it looked fantastic! I will say, however, that I did not anticipate it being so small. I ordered an XL just to be safe, as I usually wear a large, and it was still too small. Fortunately, the back can be loosen, which is the only way I can wear it. I've never been big enough to wear a size 2XL or 3XL in my life, but that's the size this corset apparently should have been, and I can't stress enough that it RUNS SMALL.
