I'm hoping you mean 6'7 instead of 6'17 when you say that. My 13-year-old grandson was given a size small men's shirt. He stands at a height of 5'6 inches. I'd go with a large, but how it fits depends on whether you're thin or thick. Please accept my apologies for not being able to assist you further.
Perhaps a middle ground.
It's not as thick as a hoodie, but it's still warm.
You might want to consider one of the smaller sizes.

The seller sent the wrong size! The sweatshirt is okay, but the champion logo will fade after a few washes, and it's cheap.
I have no recollection of placing the order. To find it, I had to go through all of my orders. It's a bit absurd!.
It's thinner than a typical hoodie, which I like. It's best to wear it in the autumn or early spring.
I'm 5'3" and weigh 108 pounds, and I ordered a small, which fits perfectly. It's not too thick or too small. It's fantastic, and I strongly advise you to get it.
For my son, I went with a large. He stands 5'10" tall and weighs around 180 pounds. With broad shoulders and a thicker build. Because this is a thinner hoodie, rather than a thick and bulky one, the large fit perfectly. After being washed, it didn't seem to shrink much. He adores it and wants to order another one.
Super soft and light, and it's a perfect fit! I bought this for a trip to Seattle, and it was perfect for the warm/cold weather. I'm 6'5" and 272 pounds, and the 2X was the perfect size for me.
This was a present for my son's birthday. Because there is no band around the bottom, it has a slightly longer and more relaxed fit than a typical hoodie.
I had to order a size two sizes larger to get a loose fit because it shrinks a lot in the dryer otherwise.
