They'd be a lot of fun! With the lighting and designs, they do make it difficult to see out of your peripheral vision, but if everyone wears them, it balances out. They're really cool, especially when it's dark.
They're not straight at all; they're curved.
No, the colors only change depending on what you buy. If you buy an orange, it will stay that color, and so on.

On one side, the bright blue LEDs would light up the entire shield. The batteries lasted the entire night (5 hours). hrs). They were packaged in a beautiful silk sleeve for storage. My wife and I both found them to be comfortable to wear. These are something I'd buy again.
This is an excellent product, and I plan to purchase additional colors in the near future.
For myself and my friends, I purchased four colors. Red, green, white, and purple are the colors of the rainbow. The green is the most vibrant, followed by the purple. The white is very clean, and the red is a little darker than the others (though not as much as the blue, I'm sure), but it still looks great in the dark. There are no batteries included. This is an excellent purchase.
Pretty much as expected, received tons of compliments at shows, nice bright vibrant LED's, comes with a nice bag, but the pads to hold them on are rather hard and the battery carriers are cheapbr>br>I read somewhere they updated them to include the on off switches, which is a good idea, but compared to the lens, and included back the battery carrier is very cheap, poor plastic, poor hinge, hard to open, the on off toggle works well and has a nice positive click, the on off br>br>Also, the only thing keeping these on is the tension of the curved acrylic, so if you have a smaller head you might be out of luck; I think it would be nice if they included a head tie to keep them on, or if the acrylic went back further and kept curving; as it is, they curve for the front and then straight back and slightly inwards with fairly thin padding where they touch your head, they don't fit above your ears like normal br>br>I liked them, but I think they could be better, even if they were only $5. 10 more.
In theory, it's a great idea, but one of the sides never turns off. Furthermore, they are completely invisible in bright light. They were a little pricey for their quality, especially since they were broken, but they served their purpose well in the music video I used them in.
They're also extremely tight, so I can only wear them for a short period of time before they become uncomfortable. Some of the people who borrow them don't have any problems with the fit - I suppose it's just that I have a bigger head!.
Only one side of the glasses lit up when I tried to test them. We attempted to remove the batteries so that we could return them, but the clip that held the battery broke off the moment we touched it. I doubt they'd accept my return, so I'm out $30. What a waste of money; don't buy it.
For costume parties, this is really cool. The fit is universal; it isn't the most comfortable, but who cares when you're after style points? Right? If you want to hook up with that nerdy chick in the corner who looks like Olivia Wilde from Tron Legacy, you sometimes just have to give in to a few hours of pain.
