This scarf far exceeded my expectations when I bought it for some Slytherin engagement photos. I already own a Slytherin scarf, which I purchased several years ago. It's obvious that this is a prop from a store like Hot Topic. This one, on the other hand, has the exact appearance and feel of what I imagine they wore at Hogwarts. It's thicker and has more muted colors than you'd find in a trendy store, as opposed to the bright colors you'd find in a movie. With the Slytherin patch, it's also not too flashy. The house colors are highlighted in the movies. People don't need to see a giant snake to understand, so there's a smaller, more authentic-looking leather patch at the bottom for effect. br>br>I was really pleased with how the photos turned out. It was purchased for my fiancé, but he already knows I'll keep it and wear it in the winter.
It has a nice soft feel to it, and the colors are very appealing. Of course, I adore the fact that the Slytherin badge is hidden rather than prominent. It has the appearance of having been purchased in Diagon Alley. For Harry Potter fans, this is an excellent purchase. It's just that I wish it had been a little longer.
This scarf appealed to us because it was soft, had true-to-posting colors, and complemented another slytherin item we had purchased. It's long enough for an adult, can be tied or untied, and features a slytherin patch. Although it is a little pricey, my little Harry Potter believes it is well worth it. She described it as "amazing!".
This one is just right, and it's so lovely that it doesn't matter whether it's for Christmas or not. This is the scarf for you if you enjoy traditional scarves and Harry Potter.
I bought these for my kids because we recently moved to the New England area. I was pleasantly surprised by the high quality, and I ordered one for both my wife and me, complete with matching beanies.
They aren't particularly thick, but that isn't a problem because they get the job done. They're also long enough to wrap around a few times to keep you toasty as you stroll through the wizarding world.
The thick scarf has a great feel to it. Colors are vibrant but not overtly Harry Potter, allowing you to blend in with muggles while embracing your fellow wizards when their keen eye spots you in the crowd.
This was purchased to go with a costume; it's light, narrow, and, in my opinion, just fine.
