Yes. You can clip the threads individually with a pair of very sharp, tiny sewing scissors like "Cutter Bee." I wouldn't use a seam ripper unless it was extremely sharp and you were careful not to pull the fabric. This scarf is far too lovely to be ruined by a snag caused by attempting to remove a tag! I hope this has been of assistance. Thanks.
I just looked at the scarf, and there were no instructions on it. This information is usually found on the tag. I'm sorry that I'm unable to provide a direct response. I honestly don't recall whether it came with instructions or not, but I'm sure you'll find out if you visit Lovarzi's official website. Your question should be answered by them. That is, in a fashionable manner. According to the internet (which, of course, makes it 100% true lol), the Doctor had a few scarves of various lengths. I believe the attached photo was his final one, and it was actually two scarves sewn together due to filming damage. He wore the 12 footer for the most part. He was wrapped around his neck in a single, tight wrap. The long one wore two wraps, one around his neck and the other around his waist (as seen in another buyer's photo). It works well in this manner and is also very practical. You can make a very warm arrangement by twisting half of the short loop and putting it over your head. You could go on an expedition with Admiral Byrd if you twist the second loop over your head. br>br>As mentioned in other reviews, if your budget allows, this is the one to get. The scarf is of excellent quality, with the stitch size and colors appearing to be accurate. When people ask about my Dr. Who scarf, I just smile and put my finger on the side of my nose, as if I don't know who he is.
This was bought as a gift for my brother, who is a big fan of Dr. Who. It will be given to him in two days, and I am confident he will enjoy it. I spent a lot of time looking for the perfect Fourth Doctor scarf, and I think I've found it. I'm sure Dr. Tom Baker wore a lot of scarves, but this is probably the most well-known. I took it out of the package to double-check the accuracy (as described in the Amazon seller's description), and it's perfect, complete with a Dr Who tag. I threw in a couple of bags of Jelly Babies for good measure. a favorite of Dr. Who's.
Overall, it's a very nice package, and I don't believe you'll be disappointed. I would give it five stars if I didn't have anything else to compare it to. However, I have a scarf from the Fourth Doctor that I bought about 20 years ago from the old 800-number. Trekker is a science fiction series set in the future. fi collectibles is a company that specializes in collectibles. Though the older one has a thicker knit, this new scarf is still excellent (far superior to ThinkGeek's cheap, thin, and useless scarf). The only other feature of the new scarf is that you can see where the previous color's yarn was tucked into the next color's yarn to knit them together at each color change on one side of it. The color changes were not visible on my old scarf. The main reason I purchased a new scarf was that my old one was 14' long and I wanted an 18' scarf. I'm pleased with it overall.
However, this is an excellent recreation of Tom Baker's Series 16 scarf. This is not the heavy-duty version. It should be a medium-weight yarn. It also appears to be quite narrow. Overall, however, this is a fairly accurate recreation of Tom Baker's iconic, multi-dimensional character. Scarf, colored, from the 16th series. I'd like to see a line-accurate version of this game at some point. br>br> The red, series 18 scarf, on the other hand, is completely inaccurate. The yarn is light and airy. weight. The original scarf's length and width are likely half that of the series 18 scarf.
Don't let the BBC's license fool you. That one isn't a continuous knit and is sewn together from three different sections, which makes it look awful. This Lovarzi DW scarf is knitted in one piece from start to finish. The material is as soft as the 13-foot scarf, and the workmanship is excellent. Anyone who enjoys Doctor Who, particularly the Fourth Doctor, will enjoy this book.
I wanted something that was as close to the original as possible, and this scarf is nearly perfect, measuring 18 feet instead of the 24 feet that Tom Baker wore in some episodes. It fits me like the image on the screen because I am 6' 2". It's a light and airy scarf. It makes me extremely happy.
The company that makes the show's wordrobe produces a high-quality, licensed product. I am very pleased with my purchase.
The quality of this scarf exceeded my expectations. In terms of color, construction, and accuracy, I believe this one easily outperforms the images I've seen from other brands. I'm not a knitter, but the texture of the weave appears to match that seen in Fourth Doctor (Tom Baker) episodes, and of course, this Lovarzi brand is an officially licensed product. You can find knockoffs for $35 to $55, but if I'm going to spend that much money, I'd rather spend a little more and have something that is "on the money" in terms of accuracy and color. The scarf is equal to or better than it appear in the image and is (I believe) very soft and comfortable (something not always true for 100% acrylic).
