These in silver were purchased to go with a dark blue satin ball gown. They didn't look particularly superhero-like when worn with a gown. ish, which I was concerned about, but they turned out to be ideal for a formal occasion, and everyone adored them. I have short arms, but I'm not a stick figure; rather, I'm athletic. These "fit like a glove" on me. " They stay in place, but they're not too tight. I've included some images for you to look at. I'm going to wear these to my next formal event without a doubt. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> For a steampunk masquerade ball, I bought another pair in black. The second pair is identical to the first pair I purchased, and I haven't experienced any of the finger loop issues that some other reviewers have. My advice is to avoid putting any tension on the finger loop and to take care when removing them from the cardboard packaging. br>br>2nd Update: br>br> For a Superhero 5k race, I purchased a red pair. Elektra was my character for the evening. Because it was a cool day, they kept the heat in but didn't overheat me. It was fantastic. Please look at the photos.
I got the "dark purple," which was much brighter in person than it appears in the product photo, and definitely not a dark shade. In the photo, it appears to be almost black, so I expected a purple version of navy blue. I would have chosen a different color that would have been more appropriate for my costume if I had known this. The gloves are soft and stretchy, which makes them very comfortable to wear. They're not as baggy as some can be around the wrists. However, it is possible that it will slide down the arm and become tangled. Even though my arms are longer, I was able to raise them all the way. On me, it reaches just past the elbow, rather than the armpit as shown in the photo. Overall, the construction and material appear to be of good quality, though the ribbon around the finger appears to be flimsy. If the photo were more accurate, I would have given it a 5.
I believe these are close to a four, but I went with three. My upper arms are more muscularly built, while my lower arms are extremely skinny, so these were extremely form fitting. They weren't too tight on me, and they stretched well, but the fabric squeezed my arms, making me look like I had sausage arms, which wasn't very attractive. The fabric is nice and stretchy, shiny and a little shimmery, but it's a little too stretchy and clingy for my liking. br>They appear to be quite delicate, and they could easily fray and catch. These will suffice in a pinch, but if you want something more substantial, you should make your own with a heavier fabric.
Based on Gabriel Picolo's fan art, I used this for a Starfire costume. It was ideal, though they are extremely delicate. I don't have construction worker hands, but I do have a finger or two that peels a little under my nails in the winter due to hand washing, which caused some snags right away. You should be fine as long as you're cautious. They're grey and have a moderate sheen to them.
going to an event with a green theme - I was tempted to get "green" because my outfit is mostly green, but after reading a few reviews, I decided on "forest green. " " I'm pleased with my decision - color is nice; It looks a lot like what I see on my monitor. I've tried on the gloves a lot, and the finger loop has held up - I'd like to point out that it's a thin ribbon that matches the glove perfectly, but it has no give at all as a ribbon. It can be uncomfortable if the glove pulls that area, but I adjust it so that it doesn't pull and it's fine. I'm tempted to replace the ribbon with a thin black elastic, but the ribbon color is so close to the color of the ribbon that I can't bear the thought of putting a thin black elastic on there. br>br>In case you're wondering, I added some ruffled ribbon trim to the point on the top of the hand and now I really like them!.
I originally received gloves with fingers when I ordered this. I thought I'd ordered the wrong item, but when I ordered it again, I got the SAME gloves with fingers. The gloves are nice, but they aren't as advertised, which is very disappointing because I needed them for an event and never received them.
Before a wedding, I got poison ivy and decided to look for an elegant pair of gloves to go with my sleeveless gown. I bought two things, but this was the one that was right. Simply elegant navy gloves with a great tight fit that is also very comfortable. I'm excited to put it to use.
It had a good length. The finger ring style hook was nice and stretchy. I liked the color and how silky and smooth the material was. I didn't have to keep pulling it up all night because the top portion stayed put on my upper arm. They were perfect for my poison ivy outfit.
