My fiancée and I went on a wedding band shopping spree. We visited a boujee jewelry store, where he purchased my engagement ring. First and foremost, let me state that I am a no-nonsense individual. He did an excellent job on my ring, but I am certain it was way overpriced for what he received. br>br>In any case, we went wedding band shopping, and he chose a few that he liked. A titanium ring by David Yurman, valued at $550, was one of them. One was less flashy (it didn't have the signature DY braid), but it was still $450. "I've heard Amazon has amazing ring choices," I said for kicks and giggles. I got on and discovered a Tungsten Carbide for $16 that looked exactly like two of the ones he tried on and liked. It was almost too much for me to believe. But, on the other hand, I could believe it. In stores, jewelry has an 800% margin. Oh, and they said the other rings might not arrive in time for the wedding because they need 8 - 10 weeks to make them. Ordering time is 12 weeks. br>br>I ordered it on Tuesday and received it on Thursday. I requested that he try it on to ensure that it was comfortable and that he liked it. HE LOVES IT TO THE MAXIMUM! It appears to be EXACTLY the same as the ones he tried on in the store. Going to a jewelry store is a complete waste of time and money. The 8mm ring was purchased by me. In order to determine whether or not this ring is made of White Gold. Costco provides me with a 6mm 14k White Gold ring. To photograph it, I placed it side by side. WOW, it's almost as good as 14k white gold. Some claim that if this Tungsten ring is dropped on a hard surface, it will shatter into pieces. I'm not yet prepared for the drop test. This ring may or may not be made of 0 Tungsten. I also put a magnet to the test. It isn't drawn to it by a magnetic field. Finally, I decided to keep both the White Tungsten and 14k White Gold rings because they are both beautiful. (The ring on the left is a 6mm 14k White Gold ring. ).
