Using the size chart, I found exactly what I needed. As a 6'1" and 250 lb. woman, I tend to run more than I walk. I decided to go with the sizing chart after reading feedback from others and realizing it worked for them. Under my arms, I measured my chest at its widest point, and it measures 47 inches. It was right between an XL and a 2XL, according to the size chart. Dillard's, Penny's, Beall's, and a couple of others were some of the places I tried on vests. Almost all of their vests were either too large or too small for me in XL. One time, I found an XL vest at Dillard's, but it was a bit too short and didn't reach all the way to my belt. I wanted the vest to fit around my middle, but not leave me feeling like my gut was exposed. Last but not least, I tried on and tried on some Big and Tall vests. I think the smallest size is Long and Tall, and it actually fit perfectly, but apparently it costs $80 for a perfect fit. After scouring the internet for a while, I came across this vest. Using the reviews, I found the sizing chart for my size to be accurate, as well as a vest that is well made and fits well at a good.
