Yes, there are pockets on the sides. This is how most higher-end suit and sport coats are made. Using a seam ripper, gently remove the stitches.

The sport coat is quite nice

$295 was the price of this sport coat. I passed with a score of 00, and the price dropped to $99. I purchased one for 00, and it is now $149. Update 7- Today's price is $88. They appear to be perplexed by the price point. In any case, it's a nice sport coat with a small size run. My old coat was a 43L, so I had to get a 44 tall / long version, which fits perfectly.

I got a missive in the mail. The first time I marked an item, it was a 44 Long, despite the fact that it was labeled a 40S. The material of the jacket has a texture to it that isn't visible in the online photo.

Fot was exactly what I had hoped for, and the style and finish are both excellent. It's difficult to beat for the price. At some point, I may have it custom tailored.

The paper was crumpled

It's a nice coat, but it came crumpled in the box. Wrinkled to a degree. It was a little short all over, but I would have had to dry clean or press it if I had kept it.
