I don't think they fit snugly.

How should I choose a size if I sit 5 feet 11 inches tall and weigh roughly 150 pounds? Is it large? Is it XL?

For a man who weighs around 200 lbs and is 5-foot-11, I bought the XL. This should be of some help

Are you looking for a 3 x tall or 4 x ?

There are men's sizes available for these shirts but I am not sure what the question is. It takes me 6' 1" and 230 pounds to lift something like that. I can comfortably wear a 2xl with my holster covered.

Is it better to go up a size or to stay true to my size?

If they are placed in a dryer with heat, these shirts shrink like crazy

It's been thirty years since I last wore these shirts and I LOVE The material is very durable and comfortable to wear. If you plan to hang the shirts to dry or put them on the LOWEST HEAT SETTING, you'll have to take special care because they shrink by a surprising amount.
