The hook and loop closure on the hat I received is adjustable. It's an excellent hat.
It's the Vietnam Service Ribbon, which was awarded to everyone who served in Vietnam during the war.

I couldn't wear it anymore because the plastic hat adjuster broke. I've been looking for this for a long time, and it was mostly my wife who purchased it, but now I have it back. I'm too ecstatic to keep it to myself. It's the first time I've ever seen a VN vet hat. I confess that I didn't wear it very often during that time, 40 years ago, except on holidays and at the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
I wish I had gotten the one with an American flag on the side and the Air Force on the back.
The first one appeared to have been in a battle! It is worn by my husband on a daily basis. Because of this hat, he is frequently approached by complete strangers who thank him and shake his hand. br> Finally, that is an impressive honor.
Hat is exactly as it appears in the photo, and I am proud to wear it.
br>I like the "logo" because it is simple and straightforward. It encourages people to inquire as to which Branch they belong to. What kind of unit and what kind of foundation are you using?

This cap is well-made and attractive from a practical standpoint. On a more personal level, the men who hid their service in this war for so long can now finally find closure. My husband was thanked by a complete stranger in WalMart last week after being spit on when he returned home in 1972. It was an unexpected bonus that neither of us anticipated.
At a reasonable price, a good hat.
As a Vietnam veteran, I wear my cap in public places and at events to remind people that we exist and what we did for the freedom of others.
