Questions & Answers

Is it possible to carry this in a concealed manner?

It all depends on your body type and what you're trying to hide. I mean, it's not something I'd recommend for a 6 inch revolver. However, if you have a Ruger LCP or a M, you might be able to get away with it. P Shield.

I'm 6'2" and 190 pounds, so what size should I get?

My husband stands 6 feet tall and weighs around 230 pounds. He is dressed in an Xtra Large. He likes his black ranger vest because it is lighter weight than most photographer vests and it looks great; however, the length is a little shorter than most tactical vests, so check it out.

I'm 6'1" and only 135 pounds; I have a slimmer, smaller shape, but I'm taller; should I get a small or medium?

I'd go with the medium option. I'm 6'3" tall with a 44" waist and ordered the 2x size, which I can comfortably zip up. I have another vest, which is of a different brand and is quite snug. I don't use it as frequently as I do the ultra force. If it's tight and then you stuff the pockets, it'll be difficult to get around.

Selected User Reviews For Rothco Ranger Vest

Little more than a shoddy costume with flimsy fabric and limited practical utility
3/5

It's not very practical. This is an extremely lightweight vest that feels more like the kind of craftsmanship and quality you'd find in cheap adult costumes, rather than a functional tactical, hunting, or work vest. While I prefer the design of the Rothco Ranger to similar vests from 511, the material quality and craftsmanship of the Rothco Ranger is clearly inferior to 511's. This vest will undoubtedly fail to withstand any type of strenuous activity. I've seen fishing vests that were of higher quality. It's useful because of the pockets. I also like the front webbing for securing right-angle flashlights, reading glasses, and other accessories. br>br>In addition, in today's online clothing market, Rothco gets bonus points for sticking to standard US sizes - If you usually wear an L with most American brands, you'll also wear an L here. Despite the fact that the product is made in China, it is not one of the many Amazon-sold apparel items that are based on Asian sizing, where XXXL equals a US L or even a M. br>br>However, this work appears to be stuck in the middle of its target market. It's far too thin to provide even a smidgeon of warmth in the kind of mild weather that calls for vests, such as the fall. Despite this, it is not breathable via webbing, mesh, flaps, or other means, making it less desirable than other models for use in hot weather where one might be willing to tolerate an extra layer of clothing when in need of pockets. The vest is also made of a 60/40 cotton/poly blend, which means it isn't very water resistant. As a result, its lack of rain protection makes the included hood seem even more unnecessary. br>br>Like most vests I've owned, it's a little longer than I expected, covering my belt completely. It's not as short as most tactical vests, which surprised me given how many people complained about it being too short. A lightweight summer vest should not be any longer than this, in my opinion. If you can find this vest for under $20, it's a good buy. However, I would be wary of paying more than that. This is one of those products that, if I had the chance to feel and touch the actual product in a store before buying it, I would not have considered buying it at the current price of $30. 35 bucks.

For the costume and ease of use, I give it a five-star rating
4/5

For hunting, I give it four stars. This was purchased for a costume and it is EXACTLY what I was looking for. I'm also looking forward to all of the pockets because it means I won't have to worry about my belongings while I'm at the party. And I'll probably take this thing camping or to a music festival (if I add a few patches) because it has so many pockets so close to the body. When it comes to semi-formal education, However, if you're serious about hunting, it won't be able to withstand the elements. Everything in your pockets will become wet if you get wet. If you're going to be in the brush, the material appears to be easily snagged and ripped as well. For a variety of reasons, I was hoping for some exterior Velcro, but there isn't any. If hunting is a hobby, I'd opt for something a little more rugged.

This is something in which I have a financial interest
5/5

This is fantastic. I'm getting in the habit of quickly locating pockets. I wear it almost every day once the sun sets for warmth, but I wore it all day yesterday when it was hot and had no issues. I was out on the beach taking photos and had plenty of space for my electronics. It's very relaxing. I'm in a wheelchair most of the time, but I do walk, albeit awkwardly, so I fell in some pretty sharp cut stone in my yard and spun to land on my back, which protected me well with no damage to the vest and far better than my arms. I'm having trouble adjusting to the number of pockets and allocating certain items to specific pockets because there are so many. This takes time, and I haven't tried the hood yet because the neck and fit are so nice. I ordered an xl and had some difficulty getting it on in the shoulder area, but it fits perfectly once on. I believe the armholes are smaller, which is fantastic once it's on. This is something I would tell my friends about, as well as you. Excellent value for money.

I love this vest
5/5

I love this vest. It has a lot of cargo room, 11 pockets (including the two on the inside), and the two breast pockets almost have a divider inside them to turn them into another set of two pockets. I can fit all of my belongings in it and still have room for anything else I might need. I rarely leave the house without it now; it's nice and warm and does exactly what I need it to. br>I think the large pocket on the back will be useful once the velcro is upgraded. It only comes with one tiny 1x1 inch square, which won't hold much weight if the pocket is stuffed full, so be aware. br>I use it for hiking, camping, and emergency preparedness, and it's perfect for all of them. br>I also do photography as a hobby and can fit all of my filters as well as my 80-mm lens in there. In the back, there's a 200mm telephoto lens, but you won't be able to get to it right away. To get to your lens in the back pocket, you'd have to take the vest off, but it's a great vest for the price, and I'm considering getting one in camo as well.

It was not to be a multi-pocket good-looking multi-pocketed vest
3/5

Orders for size checking were placed three times. This item was returned because the zipper was uncomfortable to close. up to the X-Large and X-X-Large sizes Large. Zipper is doing the same thing, completely, and I'm not sure why. br>As I grew in size, the vest grew in size as well, but the same issue with the Zipper closure would persist on these vests. I had read other sizing reviews, and some of them mentioned the same issue. I needed to test it to see why it was failing and whether or not it would work for me; unfortunately, it does not. br>The vest is a nice vest with a lot of pockets. I was hoping it would be compatible and a good addition to my vest collection, but it wasn't to be. br>I'll keep looking for a vest with multiple pockets.
