Questions & Answers
It's a lengthy and complicated response. Only on the right chest side of the liner are there are three buttons. This is with the liner tag removed and the three buttons sewn in behind the liner buttonholes on the back side. The jacket has three buttons on each chest side and two at the neck, spaced slightly apart; I'm not sure why the liner has those three extra buttons. Although my liner appears to be reversible, this does not explain why you require three additional buttons. If you were to wear the liner alone, you could possibly close it with those buttons, or for added warmth, button the liner up at your chest and keep it loose from the jacket. Jim, I hope this has been of assistance.
I have both in my personal inventory and have yet to notice a distinction.
I'd say it's a shade lighter than OD green.
The majority of my liner (both inside and out) is grey in color. The buttons' holes are more of a green color on the edges. The military tags are still inside, so I believe this is the correct color.
