Currently I don't own Danners, but I do own Nicks, and I find their sizing to be perfect! There is no better shoe than the Kenetrek!
My boots stood up to a lot of abuse and were still in great shape.

Selected User Reviews For Kenetrek Men's Wildland Fire Leather Boot
I have heard great things about Kenetrek, and I was excited to try them, but after only two weeks of project work on a hotshot crew, they are already almost destroyed. Please do not buy any of the boots shown in the attached photos because they have never even made it to the fire line.
Stick with one of the proven boot brands because this ain't.
So far, I have not been able to use them in a line fire but I bought them for wildland firefighting. It may be possible to update the review if they do not. The boots in these three pairs are super light. I have noticed a surprising difference in weight between these boots and the whites or haix boots I have used previously. I will wear these boots all the time from now on. When I buy another pair of kenetrek boots for hunting, I will also purchase them as long as they perform well on the job.
Fit and quality that can be relied upon.
They are snug and have a lot of durability. Currently I have them on a mark timber as I am going through the woods. At the end of the day, these shoes definitely feel better on my feet.
So far so good, I would like to fit them.
It is very comfortable to wear them. I find the fit to be perfect. There is very little or no break in my I ordered a second set after being pleased with the first.
A brake is not needed because the fit is perfect.
It was advertised as the "new safari" when in fact it shipped my boots as the "mountain safari" they are totally different. I have no issues with the boot, but the description was not accurate.
