We regret that this style does not have an elastic waist.

Is this the thick stuff you're talking about?

Work shorts that are very thick and of good quality.

Is there a lot of shrinkage in these after they've been washed?

There was no shrinkage that I noticed.

They have the appearance of Carhartts, but are significantly less expensive
3/5

This pair of shorts is made in India. They're light in weight and have a narrower waistband than most other pants. They stretch out as you wear them, but shrink back down when you wash them. I'm not sure they'll last as long as a regular Carhartt, but since I'm retired, they'll probably do the trick. It's just that the quality isn't as good as I had hoped. Man-sized tools will not fit in the tool pockets because they are too short. They're easy to get rid of. What's the point of putting the hammer loop on top of a tool pocket? It's difficult to use the tool pocket, and it's even more difficult to get the hammer in if there are a couple of tools in there. I believe these are intended for use during the week. Put a stop to the posers. You're tarnishing the Carhartt name and reputation. 8/9/20. br>br> This review remains unchanged after a month. Overall, they appeal to me, and the price is reasonable. They're something I'd buy again.

They aren't the same as they used to be
4/5

These work shorts were purchased in a retail store several years ago. They were extremely comfortable and long-lasting for me. They've been through at least ten years of abuse from home renovations and light construction projects. Though they have the same Carhartt style number and are identical in design and construction to my previous shorts (which I still wear), the main difference is the fabric. These are much thinner and lighter in nature. They're not going to last as long as the previous ones.

It's good, but it's not as good as Duck Cotton
3/5

These appear to be decent shorts, but they are not the heavy-duty "duck" cotton that they appear to be. br>Recent changes: These aren't the heavyweight duck cotton, according to Carhartt. The B25 8 has been a favorite of mine for years. 5" duck cotton that has been washed. Pockets that are both durable and useful. However, Carhartt has discontinued these and instead recommends the B147, which is lighter in weight and has a longer 11" inseam. I'm not looking for something that's lighter in weight. When wearing pants, having a longer inseam that breaks at the back of your knee is extremely inconvenient. Soo, after a long relationship with Carhartt, I decided it was time to move on, so I went to Duluth Trading and found the perfect replacement. After a few weeks of wearing them, I'll post an update.

Shorts are excellent
5/5

If I had the chance, I'd give it a ten. Here's how it works, fellas. It's wonderful to have a waist stretch. These shorts have a lot of stretch in the buttocks and thighs, so they'll keep you comfortable all day. The legs are well-fitting. Unlike nearly every other pair of shorts on the planet, these aren't humongous. They have an 11" inseam, which means they don't go all the way up your thigh like almost every other pair of shorts. Look, if you're looking for length, stretch, comfort, and good looks, these are the ones to go with. Short shorts are no longer an option for me. I've already returned five pairs of men's shorts this summer because none of the vendors have changed the inseam length on their shorts because they know you won't buy them. I believe they believe you will not return them. And it's most likely effective for them. However, by the time you receive them, realize how short they are, return them, and/or take them to Kohl's, you've wasted a lot of resources. I'm going to start a business selling men's shorts. All of the shorts will have 11" inseams, a stretch waist, stretchy fabrics, and tapered legs to avoid looking like a sack with legs sticking out. Put all that extra fabric you've been saving for those big legs to good use in the length!.

It's far too tight - Fits a small person
3/5

Although the construction appears to be good, they do not fit true to size after washing. I have a 33" waist and usually wear a 34," which is always roomy and comfortable. In the Carhartt pant, I have an identical version of this. Relaxed Fit - If you're looking for a more casual look, this These shorts shrank up and feel like spandex shorts that one would wear while competing in the Tour de France for some reason, and they fit perfectly. I only wear them now when all of my other brands of shorts are in the washing machine. I can only suggest ordering a size up.

Sizing is a problem
3/5

to small! Sizing is a major problem for Carhartt. I've just received a T-shirt in the mail. Because the shirt was two sizes too large, it was returned. The shorts have now shrunk by at least two sizes. Because I already own a pair of their pants, I ordered the shorts in the same waist size. Sorry, but it didn't work out.

For everyday use, this is a fantastic quality item
5/5

These shorts are made to the same high standard as any other Carhartt garment. They are inexhaustible. Carhartt doesn't make suits, which is something I wish they did. Carhartt clothing, on the other hand, tends to run a tad large. It's not necessarily a flaw if you prefer loose-fitting clothing, but be aware that the sizing dimensions are generous.

The fabric is extremely stretchy and comfortable
5/5

I've never owned a pair of work shorts like these. Because I work as a carpenter, I put my clothes through a lot of punishment. Because they stretch so much, it's simple to bend down without having to pull the shorts' legs up. It makes work a lot easier. That's all I can ask for. They are extremely easy to clean. We don't put them in the dryer, so I'm not sure how much they shrink. During the summer, I'll always put these on.
