It is not normal for the soles to be non-reflective at first On wet surfaces, their grip is excellent at first, but once they begin to wear down, they become extremely slippery. Shoes like these come in more colors than others. In fact, it can even be dangerous.

I wear a size 12 regular width in every shoe brand on the planet. I purchased my last pair of Bostonians at a mall, so when those size 12's didn't fit I was able to try other sizes and discovered that size 11 regular width fitted me better. So when I ordered this pair of Bostonians on Amazon, I chose the 11's. As soon as they arrived, they proved to be the narrowest shoes I had ever worn! The size 11 WIDE was much too long, so I exchanged them for the size 11 WIDE and learned they were too big! Again, I exchanged the size 8 for a size I found my size with 5 WIDE and now I can wear them without any issues. The shoes look and feel great but Bostonian, sizing is off. I can't believe that happened!.
In my opinion, this shoe is not the best option for someone looking to show they're a high roller and have a lot of money. you are like me and like a formal shoe that can withstand whatever life can throw at you, then this is a good option for you.
