My recommendation is to go by the foot chart to find your size. These boots tend to be narrow with very little room for adjustment. Women's sneaker sizes 6 1/2 to 7 fit my foot width and I wear 6 1/2 to 7 in women's sneakers. I measured my foot and it was slightly more than 9" so I ordered the women's 6 and the Moreover, toes were right at the tips of boots and were very uncomfortable as they were too tight. These have been sized up to a women's 7 and a men's 6 so they fit perfectly. Although I felt that the next size up would have been too long, the next size up would have given me the width.

Normally, I wear a size I went with the 10 because the 5 3E shoe was too big for me. As per recommendation, 5 size is best. You may be able to use a custom insert based on your foot size.
