The subject is pretty As long as the tongue is positioned correctly, I can be in a stream for about four minutes if you have them laced properly and tightly. It is only 5 inches (just above ankle level) from where I am standing and the water will run off my feet! It's hard to believe these boots are so awesome.
The work boots are not as solid/protective as cowboy boots or work boots, but they should be good for barn work. It is made of leather, as far as I know, so I hope It is OK to step around the horses I think as long as your feet are on the ground!
There is no wide width available on our site, and Palladium does not list a wide width on their site either.
Even though I have never hiked in them, their tread seems to have good traction. Due to the waterproof nature of these shoes, there isn't much breathability, so you may get sweaty feet.

I bought them at the time to wear during the rainy season. I would recommend them now for the price. I could not return mine since the deadline was like a month away anyways, I would not recommend them.
Still, I got these at a fair price and love my other canvas Palladiums (these being my third pair), so I am content with my purchase. There were 10 of them, so I bought them. I find these ones a little tight around the tops of my feet and the widest part near the toes, if that is what they are called. I'm of the opinion that canvas Palladiums have more stretch and room for the toes to move about when wet, however if they are wet, they won't hold up as well. These boots have a hard toe so it grips my foot and after eight hours on my feet it does hurt. I might still need to break them in more but for now they are a take.
