Cons: br>The heel hook is bad, it's weak AFbr>And the strap is stupid, it's a pain to adjust so if you want to put it on quickly, you need it loose, but then you have to adjust it, which is annoyingbr>br>These are very comfortable, they've got a good toe box, nice strong velcro, and featuresbr>br>Would I buy these again for the price?? No way, I can get a pair with a better heal and a single velcro strap (practical) that isn't just trying to stand out.
I've had them for over a year and, aside from the large heel pocket, they're my favorite go-to pair now. I wear a size 9 and have worn them a few times a week. I ordered a size 8 iati and received a size 5, 9/10 would purchase again.
I'm a size 11 1/2 on the street and bought a size 10, which fits perfectly. I think I could probably go down a half size without too much discomfort, but I was happy and confident climbing in these on day one. They're easy to smear and perfect for edging. Just for more foot shape/fit information, I like the fit of the Scarpa Feroce (my go-to climbing shoes).
Excellent fit, with a strong toe and a supportive heel. The toe box isn't too narrow, so your toes don't get squashed, and the adjustment strap works well to keep the shoe snug. The heel stays in place nicely when doing hard heel hooks on small holds/features.
Climbing is something that my son enjoys doing a lot. These made a wonderful Christmas gift!.
My climbing shoe options are limited because I wear a size 14 shoe. Tenaya and Scarpa are the only brands that sell aggressive, downturned bouldering and sport climbing shoes in sizes 14 that I've found. Scarpa is known to be a little wider than Tenaya, and Tenaya is known to be quite narrow. Although this model is wider than Tenaya's, it is still narrower than Scarpa's. These shoes were exactly what I was looking for after a month of searching.
