Nordstrom's has a Large that fits me perfectly because I am 5'11" 190 pounds I found it quite constricting especially in the shoulders when worn with just a dress shirt- My goal is to layer under an XL so I can wear it with a shirt - I don't know if that will result in too long sleeves On the large size, they were perfect for me
The height I am and the weight I weigh are 5'8 and 170 lbs. After receiving the medium, I had to send it back for a large as it was too small. As far as sleeve length is concerned, it was fine
The cardigan or the jumper may be worn underneath, but the blazer must not be worn. Using it as a layering coat is a perfect idea. do not think it would look good to buy a size larger so the jacket can fit over it.
In order to fit my son's weight of 170 pounds and height of 5' 10", I ordered a large. I think it's a perfect match.
Selected User Reviews For Nautica Men's Classic Double Breasted Peacoat
have been a Nautica customer for over a decade, wearing their shorts, sweaters, and t-shirts I have never had a problem in the past with shirts, swimwear, etc. They have a lot of big sizes on torsos I wore a medium size on this coat, but the large was too big I always wore a medium size on most of my clothing My current reluctance to get a small is due to my wariness. This item was way too tight, even after two tries. I am 6'0, 170 lbs, and have a 32" waist, and I was very disappointed when it didn't fit after two tries. I think it looks sharp as hell in the pictures, but the item isn't the same size as their other items. It was disappointing.
The reviews say this coat is large, so I ordered it based on that. The size I normally wear is between XL and 2XL, so I went for 2XL to make sure I would be able to match it with a sweater or It is not at all so Like a drum, this thing fitted snugly against my sweatshirt. Although I am 5'11" and 280 lbs, I do not look like a model from the picture, but I was not expecting that it would be so That flaw is not as important as tailoring or length, but could still be regarded as serious. When it is unbuttoned, however, it is also pretty warm. I'd like to talk about buttons now. Known for its Anchor Buttons, many say this jacket has them. Not at all! Buttons are large and dark gray in color, but they are the same as those on overcoats. My suspicion was confirmed before the coat arrived, when I found a package of 25 dark blue Military Anchor Style Navy Peacoat Large Buttons on Amazon, which are expected It would be easier for me if I altered the coat and sew new buttons closer to the edge by a half inch or so. It will be more comfortable to button up the coat in this way and allow a larger amount of room to the wearer for overall comfort. The summary is as follows It is a nice coat to wear over a turtleneck or a tee to stay warm and looking good It would be better to wear it under a sweater rather than over it.
There is nothing better than a high quality coat like this. The outer lining of this jacket is quilted, which means it's not as thin as it might appear. We are very impressed with the quality and price of the wool fabric. As this is not a slim fit coat, you might want to go down a size I am 5'10" 150 pounds and I had to get a small although that will be too small under another coat, but it would look wonderful over a merino wool sweater. As you will need a bigger size for shoulder but a thinner waist, you may want an alternative design, as it will swim on you in the torso if you have large shoulders but a thin waist.
It was disappointing, I have to admit. The next day, I packed it back up again and returned it. The Nautica brand gave it a quality feel that I wasn't expecting. As soon as I pulled it out of the bag, I knew I wouldn't be comfortable with it. It felt as if the game was playing on a pool table, though. There was just a feeling of fakeness. It was too late to return it, so I tried Size small was ordered I am 5'8" and weigh 165 pounds. Mostly, the fit was fine. I prefer slim fits and this one did the trick. Perhaps I would have fit better in a medium if I wanted a bit more room but was still fitting in the small. I preferred a shorter length, but it still was too long for me. I do not think it was the jacket so much as my torso and my shorter height that caused the problem. The shirt wore lower than my crotch area and below the back pockets of my jeans. The length of a peacoat is largely a matter of taste, but for me it does not fall past the crotch, nor should it cover the back pockets completely. I like the fit on the model in the pictures, or at least how I like mine to be. The contents of the pockets should fall between how high they are and how low they are, with the lower portion of the pockets still exposed. Upon returning the item, I went on to order the Amazon essentials peacoat. I noticed right away that it felt like what I expect of a peacoat. It is probably the materials, in addition to the wool, that make the difference between the nautica and amazon coats. I am unable to wear the Amazon due to the length of the garment, which falls beyond It was a perfect fit for me, but I had my local alterations shop shorten it by one inch so I could wear it again.
I had an official Navy Peacoat I owned previously when I lived on a Navy base 30 years ago, but all my winter apparel is really casual, so I needed something new, quick, and impressive. I chose to recreate the look and feel of that room again because it was warm, functional, and stylish. The size I needed to order was a bit unclear for me since I'd gained weight during 2020 (didn't we all). Then I ordered both a XL and an They both arrived in two days, and I immediately tried the XXL on first. It was exactly what I was hoping for, a real double-breasted I was able to get a perfect fit in an XXL. I have a broad knowledge of a wide variety of topics Since I am broad-shouldered and have a hard time fitting tailored dress coats, this fit just right across my shoulders and through my waist. I am also shorter than most guys and need to consider where the coat lands on my thigh. There was nothing to be worried about. My official Navy coat and this one are both very light. The only difference is their Unlike the Army coat, the Navy coat was thicker and made for handling rough cold water. Because this car is just a bit lighter, there's no need to get out of it easily, especially if you're driving in winter. This coat is more than adequate in terms of both weight and warmth. In regards to the XL, how does it compare? It's been a long time since I In the morning, I walked right over to my PC, printed out my return label, and dropped it off at UPS on my way to my appointment. By the way. It didn't work out at all, the date was stiff. I'm glad to have been motivated to get this coat because of it!.
An earlier review needs to be corrected Initially, I weighed 200 pounds with wide shoulders (and was 20 lbs overweight). I am 6 feet tall and 200 lbs. 230 pounds was the weight I wrote in my first review for some reason. I was able to fit the extra large size perfectly, as if it had been custom made for me, not too big nor too small. I like that there are no shoulder pads, as it lets my shoulders show off their natural contours. Due to the double-sided nature of the picture On this double-breasted coat, there is a generous amount of overlap, allowing you to adjust the buttons to fit just right. I love the style and workmanship of the jacket, except for two of the buttons, which are not reinforced with a small button on the inside. They felt too thin, one came off within a few seconds, and the other hung I just cut off the ends of it since I did not have any sewing thread to hand. I decided to replace the original buttons with some fancy ones, so I don't think I'll care too much about it. By adding this to the jacket, you will improve its appearance. I would like to comment on the fabric one more time. There is really an elegance to this fiber, and it drapes nicely, and I would bet it won't.
