When I purchased this jacket several years ago, I fell in love with the model. Besides being versatile and comfortable, it looked good as well. In spite of my best efforts, my jacket "disappeared" from my luggage when I traveled overseas. Right away, I decided I wanted to replace it. Approximately $120 is the "discount" price for the jacket that I found on Amazon. Adventure Clothing shipped it to me. It was of much lower quality and lighter weight when I first saw it. Canyonland even identifies it as a jacket, with a retail price of $65 suggested on the tag! What is worse the jacket wasn't even the right size. Luckily, I ordered one directly from the TNF site, so now I have a jacket even better than the stolen one.

Occasionally it is worth it to pay a little more. The material and cut are top notch. Several people have complimented how well it looks on me. Although it fits perfectly, the sleeves are a bit too long for someone who is a large. The key is to remove the gloves so you can continue to work. This is a fantastic jacket for fall or early spring. Wearing it out in deep winter wouldn't make sense to me.
