This jacket has a great wash, even my uncle likes it, but here's the catch: I'm in between sizes XL and XxL, so I bought an XxL so I could wear a hoodie underneath if I wanted to, which I might be able to squeeze into. My real issue is that the jean jacket's sleeves are long and the body is short, sitting just above my belt. I'm 6' tall, so I understand why it would fit short, but the sleeves were too long for me. So I deduced that it's the jacket's style, which has long sleeves and a short body for layering. I also noticed that it has a large handhole, which allows you to roll the jean jacket up onto your forearm for a different look. Calvin deserves a pat on the back for that. Overall, it's a great jacket; however, because I'm a taller and wider man, I'm not sure how I feel about it being so short.
My shoulders are broad, and my arms are long. I usually dress in XL clothing and prefer a bit of bagginess. I ordered an XXL and it fits perfectly, with plenty of room at the cuffs. Too many other jean jackets are either too small or too tight, making them feel like heavy shirts. In most cases, the range is also limited. This one was roomier because it didn't have the big pouch in the middle. br>br>In my opinion, if you're chubby and want a jacket, go with Levi's or Wranglers because their upsizes are much larger around the middle; If you're simply larger (or prefer more space), this is the one to choose.
The sleeves are long in comparison to the body, as others have pointed out. I'm taller than average at 6', and my arms are even longer, so I usually wear dress shirts with a 36/37 sleeve length. The sleeves on the size large were perfect for me, but I believe they would be too long for the majority of people. I returned it because the body was too short, coming to a point where it met the top of my jeans, which looked strange. It was, in my opinion, fitted in the body for such a large size. I couldn't wear a hoodie or a thick sweater underneath this. I have a fit athletic body with a 42-inch chest and a 33-inch waist. br>br>I was really hoping this jacket would work. The wash is excellent, and the CK name is a welcome throwback in today's world.
It's a minor nitpick, but when the sleeves are buttoned at the bottom, they come to a halt at the base of your palm, right after the wrist, where they should. It's fine, but it does appear to be a little too tight for the slim fit. I weigh 165 pounds and wear a 33-inch pair of jeans. However, if I gained a little more weight in the stomach, buttoning the thing up would be difficult. As a result, it's best suited for a single slendor. You should be fine as long as you do not have a beer gut. It's a fantastic light jacket. Even on sunny days, it'll do the trick. I hope this information is useful to any prospective buyers.
My son is 5'8" and slim, so he ordered a large, which fit him perfectly. It's a nice jacket, but it runs a little small.
With only a thin long sleeve t-shirt, the medium fits but only just. I'm a thin guy, and this shirt is too tight around the sides of my back and shoulders. If you're my size and want a fit that looks good but restricts movement, go with the Medium, but keep in mind that you won't be able to wear anything other than a t-shirt. Even a J Crew midweight flannel won't suffice as a top or a thin underlayer. Let's start with the Large. As a result, the large is too big for me, with too much fabric around the chest and mid-section. However, if I had to choose between the two, I'd choose the large. I'm still undecided as to whether or not I'll keep it. I'm a Medium and a Half, I guess. I hope this has been of assistance. br>*CORRECTION* I just tried on the large for the second time, and it's way too big and baggy on me. The Small fits more like an XL, and the Medium fits more like a Small, which is strange sizing. Both of them will be returned.
For reference, I am 5'9" and weigh 165 pounds, and a Medium was the perfect size for me. br>br>It's a nice jacket in general. The sleeves are a little long in comparison to how short the jacket is, but I have long arms, so it's fine. br>br>I took a star off because the jacket has a strange odor. I'm not going to wash it because I'm afraid it will shrink, so I'll let it air out for a while and see if the smell goes away.
Good fit. For me, medium is far too ideal. It appeals to me greatly.
