It seemed everything about the jacket was good. Quality leather, fit, color, etc. BUT, then I had the realization that one of the front pockets had been torn apart at the seam by about an inch. It is doubtless done in Red China using slave labor. The sewing quality control issue needs to be addressed. Having grown up in the garment industry to see it decline as more and more of the manufacturing process was moved to Red China, I remember the decline. It is unheard of for me to see such obvious quality control issues in the past. The pocket did contain a desiccant packet (nice), but the person who put the packet in was never supposed to notice that the pocket was not fully stitched. It is difficult to imagine any other sewing issues that could exist with the obvious defect that passed their quality control. Refunds will be given to me.
The 3 leather jackets that I had in the last few years had worn out in limited places, the leather got a little dry and stiff, another was too small (because I was still growing), and the third was only suitable for riding a motorcycle. Whether it be for mild weather or cold weather, I have no complaints about this jacket. We tend to have mild winters in Texas, so this jacket is just right. My favorite feature of the cuffs is that the elastic has been replaced with snaps. Usually make in China and sold for 300 dollars more in the made in the USA version.
I like this jacket very much. They were excellent to me since I returned it for a smaller size (my mistake, not theirs). A second jacket was just as stylish as the first. There is a zip-out lining on this heavy jacket. There is no doubt about the quality. My recommendation for the jacket and the company is strong.
