In terms of warmth, Carhartt's linings can be classified as warm, warmer, and warmest. The thermal lining would fall into the warm category, the quilted lining would be warmer, and the sherpa lining would be the warmest.
I don't believe you do.
Warmth is one of the main features of this jacket. Layers would be best underneath though in extremely hot weather. In my opinion, it's one of the best jackets out there. It is not bulky at all, yet it
Not only is it a great jacket, it is also very comfortable. The four colors I own now constitute my collection. Carhartt Bankston jacket is the one I'd recommend to you if you want one with a removable hood. There is no hood included with this item, however you can order one separately. My two Bankston jackets don't have hoods, but I own two of the jackets.

It is well made, the design is neat, etc. It is a good buy for $59 dollars. That is really nice that you guys do not like This jacket comes in two sizes, and sizing is the big question when ordering. For your reference, here are some pictures of how I look in a small. My height is 5'8", weight is 150 lbs, and my jeans size is 30/30. As the waist of the coat is the narrowest part, it would not fit me well if my waist were any larger. It was a bit overwhelming at the store because it was filled with so many mediums. As a result, it is more form fitting than most jackets, but that is what I prefer. It's common for people to wear an oversized coat as a layer. You won't need to wear nearly as many layers, however, if you have a coat that fits well. There is an error with the color of army green in my photos. In fact, the color on Amazon matches very closely with the one in the picture. A coat like this one will do well in Wisconsin during the winter. This is what I have to say.
An outwear piece from Carhartt, this hooded jacket is lined with Sherpa fleece It’s a heavy, rugged coat that comes in a much bigger size than I thought. The height of me is 5'8" and the weight is 150 pounds. A medium fit me perfectly even though I weighed 164 pounds. The fit is perfect and if I wear a sweater with it, I have room for layers. Wind/weather is kept out of the sleeves by a heavy fabric lining and cuffs that are snugly fitting on the wrists for maximum protection. As if a dense carpet were lining the jacket, the whole thing is lined with a heavy-weight pile (probably poly). Sherpa lining is extended throughout the hood, and the jacket is very well made. A drawstring is attached to the hood. A heavy canvas covers the exterior (think old-fashioned I own an old style heavy tent canvas) and though not advertised as water/rain proof, I know if I spray it with tent waterproofing products, it will be more weatherproof There is less of a need to wear the same clothes There are two side pockets and a zippered pocket on the left breast of the bag (not deep enough to hold the Samsung G6 phone). Left is a zippered pocket (large enough for G6, right has a deep Velcro closure pocket (also A drawstring is not present at the waist. There are many zippers in the package that appear heavy duty and well-made. Neither the main zipper nor the secondary zipper has a wind-resistant design It is a fabric backing that has broken. Because this is a natural fiber exterior, dye lots may react differently and there may be slight variations according to Quite a bit. It is a nice medium brown color. It doesn't seem to have any red or orange overtones to it. It has a dark gray/black sherpa lining. A fabric/nylon ring is located in the center back of the jacket to hang it on a The same canvas used to make the jacket is used for this area of reinforcement. A Made in Mexico sticker is found on the inside. Tags on the fabric indicate that the exterior is 100% Cotton and its interior is 82% Polyester, 18% Acrylic.
The pros are I love this jacket very much, it fits me perfectly. I really like this jacket because it fits well like a fitted shirt, not too tight and not too loose. (I am not a fan of jackets that don't fit well and this one is excellent).
There are a lot of pockets which I must carry during the cold weather with my job. With a jacket as warm as this during 10 degree weather, and windproof up to 40 mph winds with gusts of up to 60 mph, you will be comfortable. The jacket would not be appropriate for any weather exceeding 40 degrees, because if it's too hot, you would get too hot. The disadvantages are The price of the jacket is very high for a jacket that does not hold up very well. I have several medium size holes in the right arm, right chest, and small to large holes in the hood within two months of getting the jacket. Jacket does not hold up very well considering cold weather season has ended, probably will need to replace it in the next year and it will not be a carhartt even though I do love the jacket and it fits me perfectly, but it's not very durable for the amount.
I returned this jacket because the zipper tab broke off the very first time I wore Amazon has an awesome return policy, so thanks for that! Due to a snug fit on this jacket, I am going up a size so that I can layer up I am hopeful that the replacement jacket will prove to be superior, but in any case, I would not buy or recommend any Carhartt products again. The thing happened because of a factory defect. I hope that this is just a factory defect that got past quality control, but this is a Carhartt product so it shouldn't have happened and the zipper feels cheap, thin, and poorly crafted. We should be able to proudly say that it is American made, sturdy, and well made. This is unfortunately not the case. As soon as I find out the replacement will be better quality, I will update A quick update After receiving the replacement jacket, it feels to me as if it's the same flimsy zipper tab so I'm sure it's just a matter of time before it breaks. My experience with the jacket is good, but the material feels stiff like all new Carhartt jackets I'm sure it will continue to wear in over time. I'm happy with the jacket otherwise, but I know the zipper isn't going to last forever.
I am 5'7" and weigh 140 lbs
I find the small size works well for me.
It's a very pretty coat, and I like it a lot. There is, however, no layering capability in this item. It is strange how the sizes differ. The height of my feet is 5'7" The large was far too baggy on me while the medium was almost too snug. I'm 10'2" and 185 lbs and have tried on a large of this coat, as well as a medium. I think the large would be fine if I intended to wear it over a flannel or sweatshirt, but without that, it will be too baggy for me. It is really only appropriate to wear the medium over a single top You should wear a long sleeve shirt to wear this coat because anything bulkier makes it uncomfortable to zip. It is my opinion that you should stick with the medium size, as you won't need to layer this coat. Long sleeve cuffs make these shirts ideal for cold weather. Sherpa lining makes them cozy and warm.
