Stainless steel is used to make the cross hoop earrings.
To be honest, I'm not entirely sure, but I haven't taken them off since I bought them, and I shower and sleep with them on. I haven't had any issues with the earrings themselves, and my ears are usually very sensitive to anything that isn't stainless steel. As a result, they may be made of stainless steel:

They were cute and comfortable, but they broke easily. They appeared to be of good quality, but they did not hold up.
These have been worn three times since they arrived a week ago. Already, the black is peeling and chipping. br>I understand they were not expensive, but I had hoped they would last more than three wears.
These are fantastic! Because I don't wear gold, I gave them to a friend, but the silver and black ones are fantastic. They do open and close a little stiffly, but that's how you know they'll stay in! They're cute and dangly, and I like the chunky circle part because it's different. I haven't used just the circles yet, but I plan on doing so once my ears are pierced again.
My son purchased these for himself and is very pleased with the appearance and feel. They were a little difficult to get on and off at first, but once we got used to them and learned where to push, they became much easier. They're now working perfectly. He cleans his ears before and after wearing them, but they become infected if he wears them for more than one day. He now alternates between wearing them for one day and then wearing his hypoallergenic studs for two days before re-inserting them. Definitely not suitable for those with sensitive hearing.

The guage that goes in the ear is extremely small, and none of them fit in my ear.
The majority of the earrings either do not close at all or do not open. I will never buy from them again because their product is terrible.
