Their weight and bulk seemed to be an issue right out of the box. The shoes feel light and very agile! They provide greater traction and I feel a spring in my step, my only complaint being that they are hard to slide into because of how hard they grip. I bought a half size larger because most people claim they run smaller than most shoes. As far as how quickly they wear, that will have to wait, but with their performance it would be difficult to fail. It is a little difficult to put them on because the opening is so small and they don't have the traditional tongue, but other than that, they are perfect!
