There was a strong smell of toxic chemicals coming from the shoes

A good fit was achieved with the shoe. I felt comfortable in it. Nevertheless, the entire heel side of the shoe is very soft and flimsy, which offers no support that I could find. And most importantly, the shoes smelled like they were made of toxic chemicals right out of the box. A very sick feeling came over me. All in all, I prefer the Accel OG model to the newer version. Its snug fit, more support, and more padding provide a better fit and more protection for the soles of your feet. My shoes still smell toxic even though I don't know why they do so. I guess I just have to deal with it.

In the future, I'm gonna go back to Accel OGs

Compared with the Accel OGs, the Accel OGs look pretty good, but fit tight and aren't as comfortable. OGs are still the best shoes and they are one of the best in their original iteration. The tried and true were definitely worth trying.
