A 42 fits me perfectly since I am a true women's size 9! The tongue doesn't rub on my feet and these don't make my feet numb like I experienced with the cycle shoes I wore (they were too narrow and constrictive). I found them to be a beautiful black and comfortable. Since I found the soles to be mediocre and flimsy, I plan to replace them. It would be my recommendation, however.
These have been wonderful. The quality is excellent, the fitting is on-point, and they have been performing great for us.

A 5 would be a good rating, except that we had to return the shoes twice in order to get them in the right size. A size 40 fits between a 7 and A total of 5 women.
It is a pleasure to wear them. As for fit, they are perfect. I ordered my usual size in women's, which is an 8, and they fit perfectly. Since I wear compression socks with them, the shoes do not feel tight at all. It is easy to clip them in and lock them. A lot of my ankle gets rubbed by the tongue because it is so long. didn't try riding in these because they were already uncomfortable and they'd probably rub my foot raw since the tongue was facing outwards. We'll return to the area.
