Size runs large on this shirt

A piece of the size tag in the package was broken. What's the reason? As soon as the package came out, the size tag had been removed. There must be a reason for the vest being too big because the reason is not clear to me at all. Though I like the design, I am wondering what the true size of this vest is. What causes it to look baggy to me? Is it because the sizes run big, or is it because the seller gave me a size bigger in order for me to not find out the size tag had been There is no evidence of this, but I'm suspicious because everyone else says the size runs small but mine does. In addition, the tag happened to be removed by the seller, so this makes me suspect.

This is an inadequate size

In the summer, I normally wear sleeveless shirts in XXL sizes. XXL shirts can be hard to fasten in the chest. I even had to push the buttons in between the skin showing.

I like the shirt, but I have to order a size XL. My normal size range is Large, and when I want a Large, I always get an However, there is more of a difference between an XL and My shirt is too flimsy to be washed in the machine, if it shrinks.
