Browning Pheasants Forever Vest

Having worn this vest for a full season, I'm quite happy with it. It is very easy to use and I have only a few complaints. With a snap closure, the game pouch extends even further for a long haul day. The fit is excellent and the pouch is easy to get into. I have two concerns about the front pocket of the shell. Aside from being a pain, getting shells into the small elastic holders is another problem. As a result, I was surprised to find the shell holders didn't extend out of the vest or somehow made it easier to insert shells. As a result, I don't use the elastic in my pockets any more, but just shove the shells in. Secondly, the shell pockets have velcro on the flaps rather than the pockets, so there is a "hard" plastic portion of the velcro on the pocket. The VELCRO will gently snag your hand each time you reach into the pocket, because the pocket will fold over a bit as you reach into it. The reason it gets 4 stars is that the problem with the pocket was an easy fix, you just have to remove one of the velcro strips on the outside of the pocket that ends up cutting your hand up, about 50cm.

This item has a quality feel to it. Despite the unevenness and the lack of tension, the stitches appear secure. It is holding up well after two seasons of use, where the fit and finish have not suffered. We'll have to wait for a few more years to see how it works. It is convenient to have several pockets and can carry what I would need for a typical day when I am hunting pheasants. My plan is to use this vest this year for both elk hunting and deer hunting.

I would have given it a 5 star, but I would have preferred a metallic sipper. I am not sure why there are 2 pull tabs on each side of the zip, but it makes it difficult I like the fact that the vest is very heavy duty all over. My game bag opens from the side, so I had to get a bigger size. The three of us with two large roosters were just too close.

I love the fit of this vest Why a few others did not think so is beyond me. The quality of the product is also excellent - Durable and made in the USA The vest has everything I look for in an upland game vest! Looking forward to the fall season *The zipper pull failed to work after my wife had it washed the first time. It is no longer possible to recommend, although I shall update after hearing back from Browning. A new vest has been sent to me by Browning. Nice to know they stand by what they do. I had been thinking they would do the right thing since I love my Browning Gold shotgun. I am very happy with the service and recommend it to others!.

Despite its high quality, the garment was absolutely huge. I tried it on and then packed it back up to send back. The medium is a good fit for me since I wear a size 4 women's shoe The size of the ring is 6 and you can clearly see how large it is. My arms are both in the vest in the photo, and it is still Would love to see these in a smaller size and/or available for women. They're not as nice as the ones I've found in the women's section.

The vest has so far proven to be a great purchase. I use it with a sweatshirt under it during the summer and it's comfortable and practical in the fall when I'll wear a thick coat. It fits loose without heavy clothing underneath, but by October when I wear a thick coat or sweatshirt underneath it'll be perfect.
