I believe 8 or 10 is the best number. If you get the 8 inch, you will not be disappointed
There are 10 inches of inside seams on the inside of the garment.
I find the wording in the response a little confusing. Considering the shorts themselves as shorts, I would assume they're short in length
100% nylon is used for the fabric. I really like the way they feel and how soft they are. This is not a thick material, but it's also not what I would describe This type of fabric is designed to dry quickly and to be lightweight. This should be of some assistance.

In the Caribbean (Dom Rep), temperatures typically range between 90 and 30 degrees F, so I have to wear layers and thin clothing to stay warm. The 34th of December. Those blistering temperatures and the humidity are making me miserable!
When you use As members of 19 lockdown, virtually all time is spent inside our houses, so these shorts are perfect since we need to feel fresh all the time. When you go out, be sure to use a mask. My height is 5'11" and my weight is 180 pounds and I bought the 34" size, they fit great and are a good gift. The colors that I have obtained are the Khaki color and dark gray, but I would like to see Columbia offer other color options.
Walking or fishing in these shorts wouldn't be a problem. Lightweight and quick drying, they share some features with nearly all Columbia shorts, such as a lack of odd sizes (if your waist is 31, 33, or 35, you are out of luck) and mesh pockets (everything gets stuck there, especially your house key Also, the cargo pocket is too shallow to accommodate a cell phone with a longer cord. These shorts have a lot larger side pocket compared to other Columbia shorts. The Silver Ridge shorts, for example, fit much better than the other Columbia shorts. In general, the Columbia shorts are not the best.
With these shorts, I have a pocket for everything I need to carry, even a special slot for eyeglasses, which makes sure that they don't slide out of my shirt pockets. Despite their durability, they stand up to paint removing solvent "Goof Off," and laundry spotter/stain remover effectively removes soil, even at the waist and in pockets. Durably constructed and with just a hint of iron on the fabric, they are very durable. Additionally, they are relatively inexpensive, especially when considering the value they will continue to hold. It's not my cup of tea because the Velcro closures impede access to the pockets. On the other hand, the plackets can be removed with ease using a seam ripper without causing fabric damage. The shorts should never be discontinued by Columbia.
These were returned to me. Buying a 30" waist size was easier because the 32" waist I ordered was too baggy, so I went down a size. These are a lot tighter in the waist, but I prefer them to the baggy everywhere 32's, so I will keep them. Although I purchased my 30's three decades ago, they still fit perfectly today, so the sizing has changed over time. It would be nice to have a 31" waistline in today's Columbia product lineup.
Because I am a huge fan of their fishing shirt, I wanted to love these shorts even more. In the seat, these shorts are simply "too short" The COVID19 has affected my waistline greatly and I am pushing the limits of my waist size but I still find these shorts ride too high in the inseam and can be quite The second pair I ordered will be returned since the other brand is much more comfortable (to me). I may share this sentiment with others, but not comfortable = no good.
I found it interesting that the Columbia retail tag was intact. Although I was going to keep it anyway, I noticed that the size wasn't right. This tag has a 30/10 sticker, but the sticker on this item reads 33/10. I noticed a missing button, and that may not sound like a big deal. As I noticed the pink stains, and then the frayed edges of the pants, I realized worse was to come. It wouldn't have been that expensive to get a new, undamaged product, but I would have appreciated if they had been.
This shirt is extremely comfortable and lightweight. An attractive fit and a good looking appearance. Spills tend to roll off the surface of these items rather than absorbing into the cloth. These are great tools that I will use a lot.
I wear it all the time. I play golf, fish, eat at a restaurant, and This fabric dries fast and wipes clean easily. Maintains a cool temperature when it is hot outside. With my weight ups and downs, they are accommodating.
