I didn't lose my nice glasses while backpacking through Asia because of these. With them, I went swimming, hiking, and partying. They are fairly simple to remove, but I wouldn't recommend doing so frequently. The cord is long enough to sit comfortably on the chest and is so light that you'll forget you're wearing them when you're wearing glasses. br>br>I did snag them a few times while putting on backpacks and the like, but it was only a minor annoyance. It was never by chance that it came off.
It's quite effective. The mono can be a little stiff, which I like because it does not hang around my neck, and it is comfortable, lightweight, and effective. In addition, the rubber loses its grip over time. On my hammerheads, I used a piece of medium rubber band and slipped it over the glasses with the rubber band; it grips even better than new, and since I leave them on my glasses, it works for me.
For my two pairs of sunglasses, I bought this and a stiffer mono band costa model. The other has held up well, and the previous pair lasted just over a year before the rubber became gummy due to prolonged exposure to the sun. These, on the other hand, are semi-rigid and have an awkward bend to them, and the band has already come out of the rubber in less than two months, despite the fact that they were my least-used pair of glasses. I'm not going to buy anything else for a long time.
It can be used for a variety of different activities. It's something I use on a daily basis, regardless of what I'm doing. It's extremely light, and you'd never know it's there. br>br>When turning your head, the rubber piece with the logo on the back can get caught on your clothing, but this isn't a deal breaker. br>br>I strongly advise anyone who does not want to have to take their glasses off and risk scratching or misplacing them to use this.
I keep my sunglasses (Fantail) in the Costa case, and this causes the retainer to bunch up and lose its shape, brushing against your neck and being distracting. It also appears that removing it damages the rubber piece that covers your shades. It should be fine if you don't store them in a case and don't remove the retainer; it's light and functional; I just wasn't a fan.
These are extremely light and convenient for keeping your sunglasses on your person and away from surfaces. I use them with my costas on a daily basis. Just keep that in mind if you're hugging someone with them dangling from your neck. During the embrace, the glasses are in an ideal position to shatter.
This is an outstanding product. I bought it to protect my Costa Permit sunglasses when I was out on the water. When they arrived, they were curled up, so I put them on the glasses and hung them from a cabinet handle until the next morning, when they were straightened out. It protrudes far enough from the neck to avoid causing irritation.
I don't take them off. Come to a halt and put on your shoes. They're fantastic. I don't take them off. Stop and put them on when you're in a dangerous situation. I wish the rubber part was a little tougher, but other than that, I'm happy. As a result, there are four stars instead of four.
