In the gym, only working out with this retainer is acceptable. Normally, I don't need to use it. How long are these retainer ends expected to last before they need to be replaced?

Once the ends are installed, the manufacturer recommends to keep them in place and not remove them. If removed, the ends will stretch out and not hold.

It looks like it's worth the price and that you won't have to waste 64 bucks a year like cheapies

The reason I did not buy these sooner is beyond me! As an aside, I've always been the type to keep my sunglasses on my head when not in use

Bending over and down they go are two things I have lost many pairs of shoes to. A piece of concrete or a chunk of wood either sinks to the bottom of the lake or ocean. Multiple bulky sunglasses retainers have been tried and failed but I always seem to lose them when I wear them. There is no better solution for that than these. These sunglasses clip snuggly onto the earpiece of my Ray Bans (I got the XL size), so there is no worry that they will fall The 12" cord fits perfectly and is the best cord I have ever used. It is easy for me to take my glasses on and off without having to adjust their Even so, I am able to cinch the cable more tightly if I wish to. Buying these does not make up for not having purchased them earlier.

I love them. There's nothing I like better. The first one I had died after about a year and a half (the rubber tube rotted away suddenly). I bought this one to replace my old one. My only complaint is that the "tightening/locking" mechanism is not as secure or firmly functioning as it should be. It is not as secure as I would like my glasses to feel.
Here's what I noticed the band does not stay closed quite well.

Great adjustable retainer! I love it! There is one feature I appreciate about these retainers, which is that you can easily shorten or lengthen them while wearing sunglasses

It is not difficult for them to fit around the thicker frames of my sunglasses (Arnette Heist). Whenever I go fishing, canoeing, or doing an outdoor activity, I use these. The single cables you stick out at the back of the head are much more uncomfortable in my opinion. My recommendation for this product is very high.

It's just the right In the summer heat, these are just the right size to keep your glasses on and prevent them from sliding down your nose, but they also expand so you can stay cool and comfortable while taking them off with hats or other headwear on

This is a great idea, but it is the same experience as My experience was very disappointing as the rubber compound on the XL fits over the larger earpieces, but after a few months in use, the rubber splits, rendering it Surgical tubing, on the other hand, can withstand more impact.

It would have been wise to buy these with my last pair of sunglasses. Though I thought I could have managed without my glasses, two falls after taking them off severely scratched them. These awesome thing on the lenses will never allow me to wear new glasses without them.
